All this money just to create the dead internet
>>108834537i'm pretty sure this is why they removed the "filter by new" search option. i remember all of the new videos in my search results were AI cat videos
>>108834537We are in peak >copy viral videos from low subscription channels to create your own monetizable YT channel!gold rush. Hop in while you can: I predict AIslop will be grounds for demonetization post-AI bubble pop.
>>108834537some of those vids have a lot of vieuws thats a lot of low investment ad revenue, vids get shit out faster by ai then most creators save the most mentally unemployed ones, more content more bingingI can see why youtube lets it happen its really just money
>>108834537Make it 90% and I'll believe it
>>108834537Yet they cannot take a picture of the slop for this article. Can't make this up.
>>108834573Bait used to be believable.
>>108834537I've pretty much stopped watching unknown channels or random vids where there isn't a visible/real person narrator that I can actually look up and find on the internet.I've also started archiving my favorite vids, I don't think yt is gonna go down anytime soon but it's the legitimate creators that will be moving to another platform
>>108834710Here's your free LLM training data.
>>108834814there are more trannies in your head than there are on earth
>>108834537woah is that real?
Haven't used youtube in years
>>108834537When things become too unbearable with AI content, eventually alt sites that will host human content only will appear, and people will go there for their entertainment
>>108834565pretty sure they took that option away a long time ago when people were using it to watch cp before it got moderated
YouTube turned into garbage almost immediately after they introduced monetisation. Remove that and add sponsorblock as an official default setting and they might actually have a platform worth using.
>>108835178I would rather watch AI content than most youtube slop producers
>>108834537i hate to admit it but i was hooked on these fake factory vids last week kek https://youtu.be/pmAgMtF__EY
this channel was better than >>108835237https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VSUtbpUNZpE
>>108834537Honestly many AI cat videos are much much more entertaining than regular jewtubers.
>>108834814You will never be a human, bot
>>108835153genuinly curious what do you do for 2nd monitor type entertainment?
>>108834537>over 20% of Youtube is Shorts.
>>108834628>theythere's no 'they'. article itself is ai slop. ai will use ai-generated images for its article.
>>108835202no it was removed this year
>>108834537YouTube was a slop website since it's creation, the only difference is it was not AI related slop. Stop pretending YouTube was ever a great website. With that being said, learn how to use your subscriptions page & learn how to properly use the search function, on top of that learn how to filter things properly with uBlock Origin.I have not seen a single shitty / AI slop video for 2 years now with everything setup properly.
>>108835759>2nd monitor type entertainmentBack in my day we were entertained by one thang at a time. We used to actually "play" Runescape instead of baby sitting it on a 2nd monitor all day like a mobile game addict.
>>108836760not even a tv going on in the background?
>>108835212>YouTube turned into garbage almost immediately after they introduced monetisation*ding ding ding ding ding. Looking back it feels like it happened overnight.
if you put "after:" and the current date in YYYY-MM-DD format in your youtube search it's all ai slop.
this might be a reason why: github.com/FujiwaraChoki/MoneyPrinterV2
>>108836886>made by Sami Hindi>some amish dude wearing a cuban link
>>108834581Why would google want to demonetize content in a time of economic hardship? That's the opposite of what they'd do. They make more off the ads than the content creator does
>>108834537>The line between creativity and automation keeps shrinkingIs it just me or does this sentence make zero sense? Did they mean gap instead of line? Are they implying creativity and automation are becoming the same thing? This shit journalism is getting so tiresome
>>108835759>>108836774(You)
>>108834565The only right way to use youtube is to download Freetube/Smarttube and use a subscriptions only view with recommended sidebar videos only being allowed from subscriptions.
I like how ai was sold as tools that would decentralize creativity and framed artists as gatekeepers then when you go into any of these threads no one is talking about creativity, the process of creation or anything and it's always about making money and getting the bag before you get your pointless slop banned.Maybe it would've been better if you were just kept out because you've never absorbed any kind of meaning in your life that didn't come from a dollar, a manual or a get rich quick schemer.
>>108837324best part is this is happening on 4chan of all places, the 'protect hobbies from normies' place, yeah let's just fucking burn everything down with ai because money and we didn't like it to begin with.
>>108837460>degredationFuck you. This picture is like a decade old and you can't fix a goddamn typo.
>>108837480There's really nothing there is there?. Not even a mask.
>>108837499Speak English to me, filth.
>>108835212Just imagine the seething if Youtube banned "sponsor" content on their platform.
>>108834537It's not like most of the human made content is much better nowadays
>>108834573Yet you post on a human website, curious.
>>108837324unfortunate reality is that many people are just incapable of creativity or creation. No tool will help them.
>>108834537me in the middle
>>108835244> lay's chips> luxurywhat
>>108834537That can't be true.ONLY 20%
>>108834537At least 75% of new YouTube videos have been slop years before AI. Yeah, it doesn't exactly make the situation any better, but it's just a new tool for the same garbage.
>>108835153This is the only answer to the YouTube problem. The algorithm is frying peoples brains and many don't have the self control to detach from it. They are stuck in Plato's cave. It is funny how people use to think that independent media creation would have brought upon a new age of learning and improve the information that people consume. Turns put it just enabled a race towards the bottom of optimizing for engagement and minimizing cost. So at the end of the day you have all of this pure shit content that people have grown accustomed to. They remember that things used to be better, but they can't verbalize what the problem is or they have become so apathetic from the endless stream of short form content that they don't care. I remember when clickbait used to be frowned upon. Now it is part of the mantra for becoming a video creator. On top of this you have subtle psychological cues that everyone is now aware of and uses ad nauseum. A persons face in the thumbnail. Outlining certain objects. Making bizarre faces. I want to go back to a time where people weren't trying to constantly use these cheap manipulation tactics to get me to watch some video and instead they actually cared about producing high quality video that is worth watching.
>>10883453720%No way that's true after so many years of relentless uploading.
>>108834537It's happen with KDP (Amazon's self publishing service). I was in the middle of creating educational puzzle books but now Amazon is flooded with AI generated coloring and puzzle books of horrendous quality. Because there are so many of them, any new authentic books get lost in the sea of slop. It's crazy how many book descriptions now include an AI follow up question prompt because everything about these books, from the idea, to the cover, to the content, and even the descriptions, are being generated by AI thousands at a time. The puzzles, especially mazes, often can't be solved as the AI only knows what a maze looks like and doesn't understand the nature of them having a connecting path through them.
>>108838036This is happening while I constantly hear on the news about how test scores, especially reading scores, are dropping and about how children of all ages lack basic skills of all kinds because they were mostly tablet babies. Fun times ahead.
>>108837079>Why would google want to demonetize content in a time of economic hardship?Optics. AI will branded as evil in the corporate space before the end of the decade.
>>108836760Runescape might not be a good example, most of it is grindy by design. It was a perfect fit for second monitor entertainment and I did that for years.I do agree with the general sentiment though. I spent years listening to YouTube in the background while doing stuff and now I feel addicted to it. I used to think it helped my endurance because I could work long hours without getting bored, but it's definitely making me significantly less efficient, even at repetitive tasks.
>>108834742>I've pretty much stopped watchingftfy
>>108834537What's YouTube's end goal here? Unlimited videos = Unlimited ad breaks?

La polizia nooooooo
>>108838949for indians, maybe?
>>108834537So when is YouTube going to get off their lazy asses and start filtering this AI slop out? They can't afford to be hosting petabytes of garbage that nobody watches except by accident.
>>108835323thats the thing people like slop sometimes especially when its entertaining. cat kung fu ai videos are the michael bay of ai youtube. now ai slop fact channels are the worst. no matter what interest. i saw some ai one piece videos that got facts wrong on characters
>>108834537Just remove india and the problem is solved.
What has more value?1. An AI slop video animating some niche PC gaming game from 30 years ago?2. Or a YT influencer grating a soap on a vegetable grater, because she thinks her dog likes it.Which is better and why? DISCUSS!!!
>>108834537It wouldn't be dead unless people clicked on slop content. And clicking on it costs no money, only requires stupidity.

>>108834537I don't mind the overt slop videos where it's clearly indicated. It's the videos pretending to be real science or history or whatever that have bogus info, AI screenshots, and AI voiceThe problem is jeets, by the way. Just a genuinely deceptive people.
>>108834565Make sure you review the specific words they won't let you do "before:2012-01-01 <search>" (any dates) on youtube. At first glance you may think, oh it's just the popular terms, but then you will see it's not that

>>108842989>AI videos are a couple of minutes max.search city pop, 2 hours minimum of ai slop
>>108836659It was good in 2008 when I could search for bass guitar videos and find videos of real everyday people just jamming out and playing cool music, instead of today's trash mix of ADHD 'content creators' shouting loudly and speaking really fast and jump cutting every 5 seconds, and short videos of woodwork with ai slop llm generated "cool stories" overlaid
>>108842989>AI videos are a couple of minutes max.Shorts are 100% of the thing normalfags watch. What we're seeing is the death of tiktok culture.
>>108843142I agree that nakeyjakey ruined youtube
>>108842989No, there are a bunch of long videos. Just look at the categories of Science or History and you'll see a bunch of long format videos. Either with AI voiceover, or video+audio.

>>108838117even with grindy games people were just playing them without background noise 20 years ago
>>108835759genuinely try and develop a habit of doing one thing at a time. learn to schedule your time in a way you can sit down and play a game or watch a show or whatever without distractions. if you have friends on social media/chat apps you want to catch up with dedicate some time to them. if you have a streamer/youtuber you like dedicate time to watching them. anything not worth your full attention is not worth doing probably.if that sounds difficult to do that's like, all the more reason to do it. that's bad that's like how a baby's brain operates you shouldn't be like that.
>>108843410you need to make connections with real people when you find them. most of the socializing online that used to happen in forums/chatrooms/virtual world games is just sequestered to private discord servers and whatsapp group chats and such.you are not going to find people congregating on social media timelines or in comment sections.you gotta make friends.
>>108843410Hi anon here I am :)
>>108838238The endgame is that you consooom ai generated videos coming directly from Google itself so they get to keep all the ad money and don't have to spend a dime on storage to save a 20 year backlog of cat videos.
