We are finally getting small phones again.
>>

No, you're getting faster planned obsolescence. Absolutely no way for that display to last many years of active use. Maybe they will even allow you to swap betteries, since you've been such a good goy.

This doesn't work sweetheart industrial society is goyim factory, you can obviously log off and start or join some luddite mennonite community, but you won't because you are a weak coward to actually live according to his ideals. Just keep complaining about everything.

No you are a low IQ fag.
Both huawei pura max and apple ultra are PALM sized and perfectly usable when unfolded.
>>
Even modern "big" phones like Galaxy Ultras or Pixel Pro XLs aren't that wide, the big screen stats are just length and less bezel compared to actually wide older phones that would barely fit inside your jeans pocket.
>>
>>108836213
you're also getting less RAM, smaller flash storage, and higher prices. this isn't some kind of win, it's shrinkflation.
>>
>>108836560
>you're also getting less RAM,

True, but that has nothing to do phones just global crisis, also you don't need more than 8/12gb ram on a phone. They are not designed to have multiple application working on one screen at the same time.

>smaller flash storage

Cool, you can put your audiobooks or whatever retarded extremely large files on your NAS disk, and then just send them to your phones via internet if needed. You really don't need more than 250gb on your phone.

>higher prices

Somehow you forgot to mention the hardware is 10x faster, but everything costs more that's just capitalism issue, not phones.

You're not keeping up. The new gemini experience announced yesterday needs high spec phones. The pixel 9 isn't powerful enough to support it. If you want local models on your phone you need the ram. If you want to do stuff like switch emulation on phone you need 12GB for larger games.
>>
>>108836633
>If you want local models on your phone you need the ram.
Why would you run local LLM from a phone, are you disabled? You are going to destroy your battery for no reason.

>If you want to do stuff like switch emulation on phone you need 12GB for larger games.
Why would you emulate switch games, unironically the AA/AAA mobile phone games are better than whatever garbage comes from basedtendo these days. All basedtenders own switch 2 regardless.

Yes, if you are boomer who only likes emails, text messages and light scrolling, it's indeed a good phone.

I may just be ancient, (or just a guy with large pockets) but I prefer larger phones.
>small keypads = worse typing
>small battery = less charge
>light materials = easily broken
>thin build = less room for upgradability

I'd rather choose a monster of a phone in my pocket that lasts a decade and can easily find replacement parts over a twig of a phone that is extremely thin, light and small. See the Nokia 7380 as an example.
>>

>small keypads = worse typing
I type better with smaller phones so you have a skill issue
>>
Finally, a device made by whites.
>>
>>108836423
Nigger the point of a small phone is to be small when you're using it, to reach any point of the screen with your thumb without doing yoga.
>>
>>108836213
>let's just add more points of failures in our devices and make idiots pay for them
>>
>>108841139
you cite a fucking meme-phone but disregard all of the durability phones of that era had?
batteries are much more dense now and phones pack far less features than they used to
all the nokias i had were rattly mace heads by the time i was done with them but it was bc they all were hand-me-downs so they actually got 6+ years of daily use

you are not using your modern smartphone for half of the time you claim without swapping its battery (not worth the hassle) or reaching its OS's EOL

i would absolutely love a sub 6 inch modern phone but the major brands dont make them and im not getting a random noname phone with dubious carrier support

brits aren't human so they can't be white
>>

I'd argue that's in the favor of thicker phones as well. Older phones had:
>removable batteries
>extra SD storage
>more ports
>tactile buttons
and were extremely long lasting.

That wasn't because they were small light or thin, it's because their designers actually cared to produce a product that was designed to last.

My current daily driver has an MP3 port, removable back battery and SD card all while still being a somewhat modern device.(Samsung Galaxy xcover6 pro) That plus an impact case with thick bezels and a screen protector means screen breaks are far rarer than other devices.

Mobile phones last longer currently than they ever have.
>>
>>108847018
And they could last even longer if not for the planned obsolescence so I accept your concession
>>
>>108847085
It wouldn't be possible to make a foldable robust even if they tried doe, they've always been a gimmick for people who can afford to maintain them and they will continue to be one until some magical breakthrough in foldable glass technology happens

I have one from like 2019 or smth, with a pressure touch sensor thing. I think. Or maybe it was the older one, but I don't use either. Android too old for some apps. Which I don't need, but other (dumb) people use them.

anon, go to the doctor, you might have a brain tumor
