underrrated distro
>>108836527openmandriva is a good linux distro
>>108836527no it's not. go back to windows, we don't want your type using linux.
faggot
>>108836527It's literally just ubuntu for coders who love vim and keyboards. Ubuntu is a pile of shit that always has weird issues. Never had same experience on Fedora, which just works.
>>108836527It looks like an indie video-have, such as Noita
>>108836527This "distro" isn't impressive to me in the slightest. It's just Arch with an installer and a bunch of crap preinstalled. Let alone the fact that it manages "migrations" (a concept borrowed from his webshitter experience) with shell scripts.
>>108836527Overhyped dotfiles by "tech influencers" and other troglodytes parasocially obsessed with them."hurr hurr look at my tiles bro. look at how i use an ugly-ass TUI for things we had menus for back in the 70's"The objective audience are vibecoders who want to feel like a l33t h4x0r
>>108836527>opinionatedno thanks
>>108836527Shit distro, just use arch or cachy.>>108836607It has nothing to do with Ubuntu.>>108837384This
>>108836527It's a good way to let new users to GNU/Linux have a pre-setup experience. It's largely for starting out, but seems fine overall. Everyone eventually makes their "own distro" like this. This one just was good enough to get popular, and it makes certain political retards seethe because DHH made it, so that's inherently a good thing since they'd have him jobless, dying in the streets if they had absolute power.
>>108836527But not by me!
>distroits just a compilation of dotfiles lmao
>>108837588blow looks so old and that game looks like shit
>>108837210>"hurr hurr look at my tiles bro. look at how i use an ugly-ass TUI for things we had menus for back in the 70's"Back in the 70s people tried to make the menus nice. GUI devs have been doing the opposite for the past decade or so now and TUIs are more user friendly because of it. It's fucking retarded but you could see it coming back in the gnome3 days.
>>108837641game is one of the best games coming out this year: Subnautica 2and that's a streamer moron
>>108837641Blow is in his mid 50s and yes Subnautica 2 is shit
>>108836607omarchy is based on arch my friend
>>108837398>>108837692fedora users are obsessed with Ubuntu
>>108837660>unreal gameyea i know blow its a streamer, what about it>>108837671used to watch him really long time ago, time flies
>>108836527it's the "i watched the pewdiepie linux video" starter pack
>>108836527>Omarchy is a proud Jewish distro>Omarchy is just a worse Artix with everything bad from Arch without any good>lunduke quote: "Are Jews the Cause of DEI in Big Tech?" yes, omarchy is the pushing force!>created by David Heinemeier Hansson (DHH) e-celeb and lunduke e-celeb>personal blog/HEY World>Hyprland tiling window manager by default so non-tech-savvy users don't have to install it>learn.omacom.io because Arch Wiki is somehow bad>Omarchy's Microsoft git repository has approximately 23,000 stars! hype!>Bryan Lunduke had opinion about his own Omarchy distro something something hype!>DHH confirmed the download metrics on personal blog/HEY World>DHH has written commentary on DEI and immigration topics on his personal blog/HEY World>Omarchy uses curated slow mirror channels for non-native unofficial weird update timing>Omarchy provides omarchy-pkg-aur-install (wtf?)>Nvidia driver setup considerations for Omarchy are tracked in public Microsoft git>Some users have reported slow boot times on specific hardware configurations with Omarchy, traced to TPM/battery monitor checks>Omarchy is built systemd as its init system>DHH created Ruby on Rails in 2004This sounds really good. Why I would install Artix when I could support lunduke and have Arch but with third party AUR thing and all these e-celebs and blogs to follow about. Also I don't have to know anything when my favorite hyprland is default and already installed.
>>108838331There is also Garuda for Omarchy users. I love these distros, fuck the Arch, Artix and all those other meme shit. Artix doesn't even have e-celebs or blogs.
>>108836527>text editors have their own distros as well (Omarchy and Guix) representing Vim and Emacs respectivelyOkay this is epic
>>108836527Need to try it in a VM first. Hybrland seems scary to my Plasma smooth brain.
Its fine. I like the opinionated-ness because it gives me a jumping off point for using an arch distro without starting from 0. I'm not going to spend my time ricing an arch install. You can always debloat it.
>>108838434>muh non-arch arch distrowhat is the point, is archinstall really that hard for you?
>>108836542>your type?
