Why dont you use an ergonomic desk bike while coding? Do you hate being healthy and technologically productive?
>>108837904i remember when every retard fell for standing desks (and still does) and tortured themselves standing all the time (lol), then the research came out showing that they don't meaningfully improve health outcomes and actually cause issues of their own. this retarded thing is directionally more correct because at least it incorporates movement, but have fun with your dick being permanently numb because you're compressing your perineum all day.you could always just, you know, get up and move around a bit every so often. crazy idea i know
I already exercise 1+ hr every day after waking up, why would I use a shitty seat with no back support for hours?Fucking retarded
I'm thinking about getting an underdesk treadmill. Tell me what I need to know.
That's probably the most consoomerist room I've ever seen, checked all boxes in such a short video.
>>108837962This. Taking breaks from the desk is way healthier than any bullshit people do to try cope with staying in one spot for 12 hours straight.
>>108837995I don't know much, but I can tell with 99% confidence that it will cause eye muscle strain. Because you're not a chicken, your head will move around in space and you would have to put more effort to maintain focus on your screen. Focus in optical sense, not just mental.Consider a mechanised desk (you can see it on OP's vid), sitting for half an hour, standing for half an hour, 3-5 min moving exercises in between. And maybe some walking on that treadmill every few hours, but it should be away from the desk, preferably in front of a window, so that you can focus your eyes for big distances, not just stare at the wall. That's like the most premium thing you can get for cheap. Chink mechanized desk is like $200, same for reasonably comfy chair, same for basic treadmill. If you pay more, you're probably getting scammed.
I have no feelings either way regarding the bike thing, but it's just so funny seeing a stone-age-looking negroid interact with gadgets of any degree of complexity. It's hilariously bizarre like the images of animals smoking cigarettes on the old anti smoking posters from the 90s
I have a walking treadmill cost me 80 bucks on Amazon. Walk like 4 miles a day with it. I've probably walked 200 miles since I got it 2-3 months ago and lost about 10 pounds not changing any other habits.
>>108837995I use it during bullshit meetings where I don't have to talk or when playing vidyait's not on anyway useful while working or using the PCIt's big, way bigger than the picturesYou could fall and injure yourself. In fact it's more of a "when" and "how bad" than a "if".
>>108838058Hm. Where are you from? It's not the "glowniggers wanna know your location", I promise. Genuinely curious.
>>108838067A mechanical treadmil does not have this issue, but it is not hands free, in my experience. So no chance of you typing anything while using that thing.
>>108837904>bike of any sortI don't want my balls to stop functioning, so no, thanks.I'd rather stick to my daily 12-5-60. Same stimulus as running but without grinding my knees to dust.
anyone who uses things like these instead of going outside to run/walk/bike should unironically be shot
>>108837904soleus pushups don't require any additional equipment and achieve similar results
>>108837904Nigga stole my under desk bike
>>108838160>12-5-6012 hours of sleep5 hours of work60 minute gooning sessions
>>108837904Just get a normal standing bike
>>108838078Chicago. South side. The city proper. Not some suburb fag
>>108837904nigger what the fuck is ergonomic about this? there is zero back support, zero elbow support
>>108837962Standing desks are still nice just for being able to adjust your desk height so your elbows don't get fucked and you can adjust it based on your posture
>>108838664this. dont need to stand to enjoy a standing desk
>>108837904Dedicate some time to your workout, don't work on your sweaty ass while bobbing up and down.
>>108837904I'm not chained to my desk. I get up and move around frequently, and go to the gym during my lunch hour. Same reason I'm not interested in a standing desk.
>>108837904i go outside with actual bike instead of this inane faggotry. but you do you homo.
>>108837904I always forget that Blacks have longer legs relative to their torsos compared to Whites. Them niggas built to run but caint swim or use dey seat on dem bicycle. Technology required to fix this.
>>108837962anyone who has done any time as a zogbot can attest that standing in one spot for hours on end is painful and causes knee pain.
>>108837904Oy vey, imagine wiring this up to employim's workstations and making them generate their own electricity. Think of how much we could cut down electricity costs!
Why don't these come with a dildo that goes up your ass for being the kind of faggot that buys shit like this
>>108838047>Because you're not a chickenhow do you know?
>>108837962npc's will fall for any scam as long as is shilled enough by "Influencers" and Corporationsif you're standing too much on your ass at a computer, just move 5-10 min every 1 hour and 30 min or do 8000-10000 steps every day
>>108837962I always knew standing desks were bullshit. It's the same thing as with dark mode. It's actually worse for your eyes.
>>108837962Same with overly priced chairsIt's weird how people don't know this trick called just take a fucking walk every now and then
>>108837904i only exercise at the desk when watching videos. its too distracting to do work while exercising.
>>108837962>they don't meaningfully improve health outcomesfor a normal human, sitting at a desk is much worse for your heart and blood than standingbut for americans who are 99% lard by volume it doesn't make any measurable differencethe real win is to use a sitting desk but to do about 5 minutes of work per hour and then stroll around the office pretending to be busy the rest of the time
>>108838047>I don't know much, but I can tell with 99% confidence that it will cause eye muscle strain.you are fucking wrong. as you are moving you leave the desk way more often, as you are in an active statust. i used one walking desk for a year and miss it>>108837995good for reading stuff or meetings and shit, bad for actually writing long shit. but you can jsut stop the threadmill in those moments.
>>108837962>then the research came out showing that they don't meaningfully improve health outcomes and actually cause issues of their ownCitation needed.
>>108837995during meetings, you will look like a psycho walking towards your colleagues continuously
>>108843390You’ve sold me
>>108843126https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39412356/i didn't read this btw so @ someone else after you read it do not @ me
>>108837904Do the little under-desk pedals work just as well? I don't want to sit on a bike seat and destroy my balls/asshole.
>>108841953What's wrong with dark mode?> standing desks were bullshitOverpriced? Yes. But not bs, just make sure you don't actually stand for long, more than 20m is not doing anything good for you.>>108842555Manager is that you?
Mixing tasks is efficient in one measure, but I would rather not split my focus.Better for me to put my full attention into both at separate times.Exercise first, and program after. Not exercise while programming.
