First i noticed that i was not able to utilize as much ram in stressapptest as i could with the standard arch repos and kernel (was true both for linux-cachyos and linux-cachyos-bore). Later (when i tried it again) nvidia-open stopped working so i had to switch over to nvidia (for RTX 3090) but the issue with being unable to utilize ram properly may have disappeared (at least for linux-cachyos-bore). Arch Linux with all testing repos enabled: everything just works.

None of the derivative distros do anything to fix the actual shortcomings arch still have. You are not really getting anything extra via their repositories (if they have any). You are also not getting anything worthwhile in terms of extra security (SELinux, apparmor, etc).

I did grab linux-cachyos-7.0.8-1 and linux-cachyos-headers-7.0.8-1 recently but i don't feel like testing it again. Maybe later.
