It's just a picture of a case, or maybe a picture of a rack. People post these images on social media usually, so they are trying to share some of their personality with other people.If you don't care about what the PC is being used for, or who is using it, how are you getting anything other than just seeing a picture of the case?It can still be cringe to post pictures of computers on social media in the first place (and it very often is pointless and dull), but if you've already accepted the premise of posting a picture of a computer at all, all the rest of this becomes valid as well.

I think cases should be thinner and taller, like big panels. Something like wall mounted builds.I'll never understand people obsessed with miniITX builds that end up being cubes on top of their desks. Horizontal space is more limited. Their shit actually takes more space than a standard case.

Because these things are already in my room. Maybe not the rainbows and funko shit, but having a plant in your room and a lamp is not exactly wild behaviour. Now why are these in PC photos? Makes it look less sterile I guess. Realistically if you want a photo of my rig you're getting a background shot of my printer and my camera gear because I aint moving all that shit just to take a rig photo unless I'm specifically selling it.
