I want to buy a new secure laptop, everyone is saying i should buy a macbook air m5, but for $1000 more i can get a novacustom v56 with the latest specs, coreboot, removed camera and mic etc amd 7 years of updates. I just work from home and need a secure laptop since im a crypto bro. I use a gridplus hardware wallet so i just need a safe laptop. Or should i get an older thinkpad and just install fedora or debian on it? Im rich so price does not really matter here.

keyboard is riveted, not soldered. keycaps and switches are replaceable but very delicate and requires a proper technique.
