>>108852178Look for a mini pc with intel arc integrated graphics. Arc works the best with Jellyfin. Also, Arc is the cheapest option when it comes to encode/decoding all video formats. Another benefit is because of reBAR. The system ram is shared with the GPU on top of its existing vram. So you will not have to worry about running out of memory for multiple streams. The Linux and Windows drivers for Arc are mature enough for your Jellyfin needs. I am currently running an Arc B50 pro and it handles things like a champ.
I have quite a few tiny PCs I use for various things. An M900 as a main linux desktop. An M93p as a HTPC. A couple T420s laptops missing their displays as ESXI hosts. A Intel Compute Stick as a pihole. Some china special industrial PC I used to use as a router but retired it since m2 sata is the loser of the storage wars. I have a few other PCs but none of them tiny.

>>108861262They are slow. It runs much cooler as a headless box. It originally came with W10 and it was brutally slow. I put ubuntu server on it since it just werks. I also put a 32GB microsd card in as swap since 2GB RAM. Since it's all intel I didn't have any problems with drivers even the USB ethernet adapter works just fine.If you can get it for cheap it's a nice little machine for little things.

I have a mini that looks like yours, specifically a HP Elitedesk 600 G6, which I've converted into a samba server; hardware wise, it boots TruNAS from a mSATA disk and runs 2x Samsung Gen 4 SSDs as a ZFS mirror (ARC size = 64GB) to serve small files with low-access latency, and that works great but during scrubs, etc. I've had some issue with thermals.Attaching a 120mm(?) fan like this would definitely solve all that, but out of curiosity are you using 5V/USB as a power source or are you tapping 12V from the board somewhere?Also, somewhat related, I heard that the noise made by fans when they're pulling air into a confined space, or through a grille etc., can be reduced by including a spacer in between. Noctua has their NA-IS1 spacers for 120/140mm fans, but these are keyed to only fit their own products and are just 5mm thick- when allegedly the greatest benefit is achieved if you have closer to 20mm (or more) of a gap. Are you aware of anywhere to buy something like this? (Without sacrificing a cheap fan to hollow out, all I'm seeing on Amazon/Aliexpress/etc. are Noctua listings, and although google shows a bunch of 3D models I unfortunately don't have a printer).
