Your missing the point, yes both work fine but the average Joe isn't going to troubleshoot with tons of command windows etc. At most they may call for some "tech support" and obviously they will also be using Windows. Linux wasn't designed for this and the desktop won't be able to catch up forr a LOOONG time. I love Linux and yeah I agree with you but Microsoft heavily considered the average Joe.
