As a cpp dev using wsl, do you recommend me this over vscode?

I recommend you Zed.

>wsl
I recommend you to kys.
>>
>>108853869
No. Clion beats both a thousand times over. The only reason why you may use vs code is if there’s some niche plugins that are very specific and you can’t find them anywhere else

My computer from my job has windows retard
>>

I would recommended almost anything over WSL but yes

What is the problem?

You use docker containers with WSL2 integration, right? That's the way to make sure dev environment is the same every time and isolates any attempts at breaking and stealing stuff on tooling level in case of some complex supply chain attacks which are frequent lately. And you know that, right?
>>
>>108854180
Do you thinks WSL is the only option on Michaelshaft Wangblows?

Visual Studio.

who is this michael, and why is refering to his cock so insulting to you?

how? just asking

Yes, that's how we work. I'm using Docker Engine.
>and isolates any attempts at breaking and stealing stuff on tooling level in case of some complex supply chain attacks which are frequent lately.
Nope didn't know about that
So which IDE do you recommend me?
>>

>cocks out of nowhere
American?
>>
>>108853869
you could also use Geany, it's a cross platform lightweight IDE

Any piece of software that feels the need to change its logo every release is a piece of ahit software.
>>
>>108855980
what does michael-shaft mean to you anon? what is wang slang for? you can play dumb if you want, but that just means you look retarded.

navigation, automatic code generation (not AI, but like scaffolding cpp from .h), automatic imports, semi-automatic cmake management, extremely quick refactoring (renaming, changing function parameters, moving things) without having to manually rename stuff, much more too, it's a completely different experience
also the user interface itself, it just has a way better UI
like, searching in all files in vs code opens a little panel to the side, in jetbrains IDEs you do shift shift and you've got a whole codebase wide search of symbols and it's in a fairly large pane in the middle of the screen which makes it much nicer to browse, etc.
there's no comparison, vs code feels like a horse drawn cart vs a scania truck

In VSCode that's just ctrl+t.

Bump
