Reminder to NOT use extensions like Privacy Badger, Disconnect, Ghostery, AdGuard, etc. with uBO as it will break functionality and reduce blockage efficiency.
Reminder that even if you use Brave for whatever reason uBO will still out-do it and uBO Lite combined.

Reminder to enable aditional filterlists that you see fit in 'uBO > Dashboard > Filterlists' (do not enable them all if you have a shit CPU/PC in general).
Reminder to go into 'uBO > Dashboard > Filter Lists' and enable 'Suspend network activity until all filter lists are loaded'.
Reminder that you can still purge filter caches in 'uBO > Dashboard > Support > Troubleshooting Information > More > Purge All Caches'.

Reminder that you do not need an addon like ClearURLs and you can just add this in uBO;
>https://raw.githubusercontent.com/DandelionSprout/adfilt/refs/heads/master/LegitimateURLShortener.txt
There is also a filterlist that completely removes 'AI generated' content and AI related buttons from various sites;
>https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Stevoisiak/Stevos-GenAI-Blocklist/refs/heads/main/GenAI-Blocklist.txt
If you're a YouTube chud and do not care about anything except videos on your screen then this is a great filterlist;
>https://raw.githubusercontent.com/mchangrh/yt-neuter/main/yt-neuter.txt
If you have the large sidebar thumbnails on YouTube you can use this to get them back to normal-ish;
>youtube.com##+js(set, yt.config_.EXPERIMENT_FLAGS.kevlar_watch_secondary_max_width, 402)
>youtube.com###related a:is(.yt-lockup-view-model__content-image,.ytLockupViewModelContentImage), #related ytd-thumbnail:style( width: 170px !important; )
And to make the Subscriptions grid on YouTube smaller you can use this (change the 7 to whatever fits your resolution):
>youtube.com##ytd-rich-grid-renderer:style(--ytd-rich-grid-items-per-row: 7 !important;)

Ok fag

I used the basic add on on firefox for years and the functionality was good enough for me tbqh. I'll try your suggested settings though

Don't tell me what to do!

Reminder uBlock Origin still works on the latest official build of Chrome and is still updated on the Chrome web store and uBlock Origin Lite is a bad-faith project.

I still don't understand what all the mv3 autism was about if they still haven't changed anything.

Primarily killing eval() which was by far the biggest security hole in modern browsers even with XSS being mostly dead. Everything else tacked on was just a rider. It's telling how quickly so many extension authors started immediately freaking out that users would now have to intentionally flip an extra toggle before the extension author could push code to clients bypassing any review process. Very telling.

Based. Have a bump.

Reminder that brave does all that and more and doesn't spike your cpu cortisol.

Brave mogs ubo unironically

Is it worth using an adblocker on apple phones?

Use orion browser on apple
>>

Qrd, does it have any unique features?
>>
>>108860966
What's the catch? They're advertising features on iOS that shouldn't be technically possible.

bump we need more of these comprehensive threads

no safari extensions. safari extensions can do more than orion can do.
>>
>>108861032
it's false advertising, see
https://help.kagi.com/orion/browser-extensions/macos-extensions.html#supported-webextensions-apis
>Orion currently supports about 70% of the WebExtensions APIs, and we add support for more all the time.
and that's the macos version. for ios it's even less. see the linked document for details.

>as it will break functionality
I don't need """functionality""" I need the data I'm looking for, everything else like js or css is bloat

amazon prime video not working with ublock apparently, what do?

Reminder that uhide origin only hides ads, doesn't block them like AdBlock Plus.
>>
>>108860591
>>108860613
The adblocker is inferior in every way, and can't be updated until the browser does. And doesn't have a working element picker.

Is this still relevant?
>>
>>108862305
I just use uBlock and disable scripts by default and then allow them only on certain websites for certain domains. uBlock does most of what uMatrix/NoScript did.

>>108862650
Sure thing, pajeet.

Ok NoScript is bad, I uninstalled. But what is wrong with Privacy Badger?

Does LocalCDN break Ublock Origin OP?

you can now go to your filter lists and click the clock icon to update them

qrd?
>>
>>108864153
No. It's specifically designed to work well with uBO. It does, however, break websites and make your fingerprint a lot worse by running outdated versions of libraries, all for the sake of sending slightly fewer requests to megaconglomerate CDNs you're still sending a bunch of other requests to anyway.
>>
>>108864062
Nothing wrong with Privacy Badger. Just make sure to turn "learning mode" off as it helps track you.
