>we already have generations of people unable to remember a pre-internet age
>>
6+ bit computing was a mistake
we should go back to logic gatekeeping

I was born in the late 80s and by 1995 I was already using the internet.
>>
>>108860147
Same as >>108860746 , although, being the internet confined to desktops, we have at least experienced an age where the internet repercussions were still mitigated by that. I still remember when social networks were just band accounts on myspace.
>>
>>108860746
Same. I legitimately can't remember what I used to do before the internet. I went outside, but not for 6 hours a day every day after school. What the fuck was I doing?
>>
>>108860147
and that's a good thing, I can't even imagine how relentlessly boring and isolating life would be without the internet
>>
>>108860147
>What do you mean the game was just text?!
>>
>>108861639
Watching a TV obviously.
>>
>>108861658
It was the opposite. Because shit was boring people were going outside to fix it.
Today shit is boring and you go to some virtual place pay money to mr Goldberd so that he would fix it for ya.
The only positive thing is that people consume less alcohol. But it's not entirely positive, because again, back then it served as social glue for awkward people. And you know what, all people are awkward, they just hide it with various success.
>>
>>108862314
there's nothing less pleasant to me than going outside, so without the internet I would just be sat in the same room reading books all day I guess
>>
>>108862314
There is nothing inherently positive about lower alcohol consumption, and it was used heavily totally outside social contexts. The real reason people consume it less is because it's too expensive and is now competing with weed in much of the world. As people don't earn (in relative terms) anywhere near as much now, they can't afford this extravagant luxury.

>>108862314
anon... normies still go outside because the internet is nerd shit and boring..
>>
>>108864710
>t. alcoholic

No, merely French.

>>108865019
Not an excuse.

They need to pretend. Really they spend too much time on social media still. You can't tell easily, because it is not about posting your shit anymore, it's about consuming slop. And normies consume it the most.
You might be autistic enough to see how algorithm hooks you up, they just flow with it. It's actually scary how society is being eroded into nothing so that zuck can more some more moneys. A few more dollars, a few more shekels, squeze a few more cents...
