The ZDL skins were some of the most fun skeuomorphic designs at the time, the Modern skins allowed for a ton of fun bitmap based skins.

If we're talking classic skins, Bunker had some of the most impressive uses of the classic skin's bitmaps to introduce skeuomorphic elements, such as the volume slider being a measurement dial, the balance slider being a vent emitting smoke when offset from the center, the buttons depressing on half-clicks and full clicks, or the sliders for the equalizer having that mechanical movement to them.

Meh. There are better ones on DeviantArt. You can also find a lot of plug-ins there.

I've had the slim winshade version at the top of my screen for probably two decades. It really is the best.

I believe we have the tech to make them better with 32 bits float imaging (aka digital lighting effects)

No. This is perfect. But it was cool that you had so many choices, both in shapes/ sizes and color palettes.
>>
Sad that all of those look like shit nowadays, either super tiny or shitty scaled, because they were made for 1024x768 resolution.

Would have to redo them from scratch in higher res.

Winamp is a steaming pile of orangutan shit.

If so, why do I all other music players, except AIMP, have next to no skins and why do their skins constantly break? All of the Winamp skins I've shown here are over a decade old.

>>108866109
Then how come it is the ONLY player to that really kicks that llama's ass?

winamp is amp for windows

amp was a thing used to play mp3

it's not 1999 and you don't use a crt
>>
>>108861488
I never did, and is there any modern music player that replicates this, both visually and functionally? Because every modern music player I've ever tries is bloated crap.
