AI can't debug for shit.>Makes up nonexistant arg>Oh it's only available on newer versionsWow, news to me. I'm on the fucking git release.>CPU? GPU? Distro? Diameter of urethra?Completely fucking irrelevant.>Have you tried reinstalling your system? I think every package is most likely broken>What is this for? What is your end goal?To fucking run the program. Holy shit.
They do use AI and it constantly tells them how amazing they are. They're delusional. That's it.
how are you using it via cli or chat website? The later is worse for anything programming related. It failed reverse engineering some old usb osz code for me but when I gave it access to cli it worked. Nice thing was you could ask it about the usb standard and what the bytes represented and then it went on and found you the function you wanted from the decompiled code. No a simple string search wasn't enough.
>>108865086You're talking to bots.
>>108865113>how are you using itWeb. I think it's insane to give some random tech ceo a reverse shell on your system
>>108865086People who are using it are too busy to make threads complaining on 4chan of all places.
>>108865135just use a vm. This isn't a hard problem mount your project dir and launch the bot inside of the vm.
>>108865089fpbpAI is extremely amazing if you don't understand anything that it's telling you and just blindly following instructions. When I was a kid and first discovering the internet, I was absolutely astonished by google. I thought Google had the answer to every question one could possibly want to ask. AI users are exactly like that
>>108865385It's amazing how many millionaire Higher Management executives and VPs are eating up all the marketing, but also using it like you describe. And at the end of the day it all boils down to writing emails and using the LLM to "read' on their behalf and chew the information to a few bullet points. This is a disaster. What is more worrying is how lower employees, who are pressured by deadlines or are simply cannot process information, just surrender, too.Customers create slop, suppliers return slop, and at the end of the day the general service degrades from both ends. And AI fans become dumber and dumber, because their brain atrophies.
>YES we WILL steal the water!>YES we WILL kill the babies!>If you dont adapt to the INEVITABLE rise of AI, you will LITERALLY cease to exist!B-but Sam. ChatGPT is just 3 gpus in a cardboard box in your mothers basement... Why you acting a fool??
>>108865089Yep, also, homosexuality is a social construct. It was invented by american jews to make hiring women more profitable, and less risky because of maternity leaves. If someone actually think they "homosexual", that is a huge red flag, and they have been brainwashed by american/gay culture. (Gay actually means Fun, btw, americans...)
>>108865935The best liars does not even know that they are liars. They know nothing
>>108865086the ones pushing AI as the greatest thing in all of creation are frauds, shills and hacks selling snakeoil. most of them cant even operate the air fryer to make their own tendies.
>>108865135Agreed. Figure out local and use a harness that lets you switch models. Most of the claude code shit seems like bullshit hype anyways. ChatGPT is fine.Coding with AI is already walking a tightrope to keep things scalable. Web chat helps you plan and generate the code for it one piece at a time so you at least maintain an understanding of how the system works.
>>108865086AI tards don't understand the output is bad because they don't know how to code.
>>108865385>>108865463What jobs do you have
>>108865086i find its best usecase being a glorified egrep for code or web, finding some bug or some shit in structure of new project i'm unfamiliar with, grepping some docs or api for quick usage and so on. Faggots who use it for codegen directly changing files seem crazy to me idk.
>>108865135if you use a screwdriver on what requires a wrench to disassemble then you're going to have a bad time
>>108870865clearly not software engineering kek
>>108870865I'm an AI engineer. I make the bullshit muh AI apps that CEOs stroke their cocks over. And I'm very good at it. Why do you ask?
>>108865089I read a theory that people are becoming increasingly delusional. It says that people build cities to insulate themselves from consequences, and if you cant feel consequences you arent tethered to reality. The rich basically.
>>108865135using something like opencode was a game changeer from the web/copy pasta. throw it in a VM or containerize it if you are worried about it rm -rf /
>>108865086Look at the desperate ad spam in the last week or so. They are dying and this is agony. I literally used the best thing on the market for mundane coding shit and it shitting the bed so much that I need to control it closely without any boost to productivity. The only thing I gain is a lack of domain knowledge and endless hate towards the project."Hey, maybe it is not so bad" thoughts are quickly became "I can do all this shit and be sure everything works, why the fuck I need another idiot doing things badly".
