My fucking oneplus phone died and I'm looking to get a new android but since google's locking down, i won't be able to use mobilism to download apks anyways. I'm thinking of getting an iphone, then getting a cheap chinese android and installing grapheneos or lineageos to do all my piracy shit on. it's going to double my work time using capcut to edit my videos and transferring to the iphone, and i'm a brokie who can't afford capcut. what are my alternatives?
>>108869988There are no alternatives. We live in a monopolized market. Your choice is LGTBQIAGTA+ bloatware spyware Android with no access to anything unless you upload your DNA to Google's very (un)secure systems, or LGBTQIAGTA+ bloatware spyware iPhone for $1,500. Take your pick haha. It's a good thing you can rent your cellphone now, that's not dystopian at all, who doesn't want a contract just to pay for their overpriced plastic brick? You vill own nothing lol.
>>108870000quads of trvth. yeah it's pretty much over, neofeudalism is real.
>>108869988get a pixel and install graphene

It's time to make the painful jump to a pure Linux phone.

Advice: Don't buy an iPhone
>>108870353why
>>108869988If you want an iPhone, get an iPhone. If you're on the fence, don't. I've used an iPhone in the past, and they only really good thing about them at this point is how seamless Apple's ecosystem is.The way things currently are, Apple's software is getting progressively buggier and less usable. Liquid ass is visually offensive and shouldn't have made it past QA. If anytime is a good time to stay as far away from Apple products as possible, it is now. GrapheneOS only works on Google Pixel devices. So, that would be my recommendation. They often go on discount at consumer electronics stores. You could also look at the used market if you want to pay less. I also have one of the cheapest phones available. And I honestly cannot recommend those. Generally, the cheaper the device, the less likely you are to find a custom ROM for it. So, the device I have is stuck on Android Go, and unable to run the some applications. Also, it has a processor which is so slow, basic tasks can take a long while, and browsing the web is painful as the hardware is unable to complete the PoW challenges most websites require as part of thier anti-bot/anti-DDOS measures. Just get a Pixel. Put GrapheneOS on it, if you want. If you don't want GrapheneOS, the stock Pixel experience isn't too bad.
>>108869988I moved from Windows to Linux and from Android to iOS.
>>108870745Satania will laugh at you.
>>108869988Get grapheneOS.
>>108869988lol no, my gf has iphone I hate that clunky thing so much.
Get a cheap old pixel and put calyxos on it. The recent test build works well enough and will soon update to an official release
