I'm unironically playing Dead Island 2 right now on an m3 macbook pro at like 70 fps. That's pretty impressive even if people don't want to believe that it is. Now I would never ever recommend Apple to anyone. I only bought a macbook for minimalist use cases. I don't even have the apple id bullshit set up on this thing. But apple silicon is a game changer and this shit is only going to get better. For example the m5 macbook pros are fucking insane. However I know AMD is working on some kind of apple silicon equivalent and you will be able to actually play real games. Stay tuned.

MacBooks are fine but you have to understand that the reason they can perform that well is the integration between the OS and hardware that Apple has. Prebuilt PC I got about 5 years ago. The case is called KRUX Orbit, but it wasn’t available in the part picker.

My original plan was to completely replace this PC once NVIDIA released the RTX 5000 SUPER series. Guess how that turned out.

Now I’m considering upgrading it instead. What would you replace to get the most noticeable improvement without making it overkill for the rest of the setup? The motherboard doesn’t support NVMe SSDs, which is a bit sad.

All you really need are motherboard, ram, cpu and GPU. Maybe CPU cooler but you can upgrade that at any time. Peerless Assassin 120 is around 120zł.
RAM alone will be ~1400zł for 32GB.
1100zł for 7800X3D or if you want to take use intel 265k for similar price.
Intel benefits from faster memory X3D almost doesn't care.
For GPU you should go either 5070ti which is minimum 3800zł or 9070XT for 2900zł similar performance. nV tax is real.
Motherboard depends on the CPU you picked and how much IO you want. Give or take 900zł for decent board. For AM5 B650 is the minimum for S 1851 you want at least B860.
I didn't check if GPU would fit into your case.

I'm upgrading my PC, it's going to be a full rebuild. However, is there any reason to get a new case if the one I have does everything I want? Pic related. The fans have gone to shit and grind, so I was going to buy noctua everything. 200mm fans for front and roof, NHD15, rear 120mm, etc. I don't care about looks (my case is entirely solid panel/windowless), I just want everything to last. First generation X3D chips didn't even have overclocking enabled. They're sensitive because of the tech used to make X3D possible. You take them out of the box, slot them in, and let it run. Binning would drastically reduce the amount of viable CPUs available for the market.

Because the 8086k was a boutique almost collector tier CPU. It was limited run, limited time, binned golden sample CPUs. The 5800X3D 10A edition is literally just a rerun of what they've done already. It's supposed to be on sale for something like $280 to $310 brand new which is a good chunk of money lower than when it was originally released at $450ish.

This CPU is exclusively because people already have pre-existing AM4 systems and DDR4 but their current CPU is a far inferior non X3D CPU. This is a band aid on a bullet wound because of the DDR5/AI fuckery.

Flash storage isn't cheap enough nor dense enough for my needs. I already have 2x 2TB Samsung 970 Evo Plus models. I also have 2x Samsung 860 Pro 4TB models. I want to add 4x 26TB HDD's. I guess I'm just going to settle for 2x HDDs. Or maybe I'll just buy a fucking LSI HBA or something but from what I'm reading, using another PCIe lanes will cut my primary GPU lanes in half and/or turn off 2 SATA ports lmao. It's a lose lose.
