Is everyone using llm's to do all their work? I'm working with 2 pajeets and we have a jira board of tickets and we take turns just using claude to complete them. Wtf is the point of hiring people if one person can complete all these tasks. also why the fuck do jeets smell so fucking bad

Day in the life of a (suicidal) 23 year old underemployed (former) SWE
>5:00 am wake up
>5:25 am - 35 minute commute
>6:00 am - 8 hours of my bullshit office job (spending all day doing repetitive shit no one else wants to do in excel, word and powerpoint) under glaring white fluorescent lights having to constantly hear beeps and whirrs and other bullshit from office machines and my boomer coworkers talking to themselves or yelling on the phone or at each other (I got this job through my uncle and it pays a whopping $20 an hour!!!) (this is water torture)
>2 pm: 50 minute commute home
>3 pm: shower, walk my retarded fat dog, spend an hour or two jumping around my modded minecraft world doing nothing (I can't even enjoy video games anymore, I get home and stare at the screen doing nothing)
>5 pm: 3 hours studying / working on projects
>8 pm: leetcode reset, do today's daily question + another 1-2 questions for practice
>9 pm: 2 hours searching linkedin and monster for jobs to apply to
>11 pm: cry myself to sleep
might not make it to christmas

>>
>>109009823

No. nobody does this. I've learned that first hand. It's only the zoomer / service worker underclass. All boomers work like 6 hours a day on email jobs, take 30 minute paid lunch breaks, and then go home.
I always thought my dad as a staff mechanical engineer was a hard worker and then I found out that he does the same shit. He's on PTO or vacations every 2-3 weeks and when he's actually working he takes 2 days a week hybrid and the other 3 days are like 6 hours of work.

because 4-6 hours a day "learning" (working on stupid projects and reading docs) isn't anywhere near enough to get up to the skill level of an actual SWE that develops applications for millions of users. you need to be exposed to a work environment where people actually know what they're doing and have the chance to read existing codebases and contribute. I could make an app that supports a few thousand users. But hundreds of thousands? not a chance, and at my current pace it will take me years to learn.

I'm visiting a escort for the first time tomorrow, any tips? I'm already:

>>
>>109010408
It also doesn't help that no matter how much I learn, it's never enough to get a job offer. I've been doing this bullshit for 8 months now and every interview there's always 1-3 questions that get thrown at me and trip me off. Like in my last interview the guy asked me how I would implement a generic function across 8 different classes using interfaces, but 2 classes had a unique implementation of the function.
Like logically the correct answer would be
>make a superclass
>define the function there
>subclass inherits the function and overrides any properties it needs to
but the guy was asking how to do it with an INTERFACE and I couldn't for the life of me remember if interfaces can contain already stored properties / functions. Like... what?? And he also asked me a bunch of shit about how the runtime environment prioritizes workloads across multiple threads on low resource environments... FUCK

Today was my first day of my new job! I have posted about this job here a couple of times; I said I was worried it would be terrible because it pays £24,785 a year and the company is owned by Indians.

It turns out the company is being subcontracted to be the service desk for a different company, and that's why the office isn't listed on their website or anything. The office is about 70% non-white people, which feels a bit strange. I'm no racist, and the guys I met today all seem like bros, but when you work overwhelmingly with Africans and devout Muslim women in hijabs and shit, it doesn't feel like an environment that will ever feel like a family like my old job did. On top of that, I don't think it's actually an IT job: I think I might just be doing customer service for an energy company. Thirdly, apparently the company hires new starters in large groups normally. Like, they'll hire ten people at a time and train them up in classrooms. That didn't happen for me, because of the ten new starters, nine of them didn't show up or pulled out after finding a better job. So only I started today. Also, if they hire 10 people every few weeks and the company has about 150 people, that suggests to me that even the people who work there tend to quit pretty fast.

Lastly, I was surprised to see a friend of mine there. He works for the company that we are contracted to, and he is some high-flying IT boss there. Meanwhile, I am starting my new job there that is on a par with taxi drivers and takeaway workers.

It took me 10 months to find a new job. I am not going to quit. I will not quit. I won't.

Should I just roll with it until I get fired and find a new job or should I go back to pestering people until someone helps me?

Doing research, taking initiative, starting your own SaaS is more profitable and easier than landing a SWE job in this market. Rejected 8 times in late stages
Each time I either gave them the ick, only had 99.99% of the experience they were looking for, was asked some vague open-ended question with no feedback or dialogue as they stared at me like a fish for an hour before calling me a retard, or was just asked something nonsensical that straight up had nothing to do with the role I was interviewing for
Each position has been open for at least 6 months and is reposted weekly on linkedin to increasingly dwindling number of applicants
A few have been taken off and I strongly suspect they didn't fill the position
My interviewers were at least a few minutes late almost every time
I have never had such a humiliating and depressing experience with the job market, it was never this bad before
I feel like I'm reaching the acceptance stage and will soon pivot to healthcare or something

Like they literally said "....**....retard!" ? I have applied to over 500 postings. 0 interviews in over 6 months. Ive never had anything close to a job offer on linkedin. I think it's for people who know people, not really to get in the know. I dont know. Indeed is 100% scams. Monster doesnt function. Zip recruitor is shit. The only success ive had was hiring an actual recruitor. So expect a pay reduction for their finders fee. And even then its unstable employment. Usually fill in gigs that last 1-3days with months in between. The only thing stable ive had is working (for free) as an intern. But all its done is cost me gas and time, however its prevented me from having any gaps.

Like what if there was a website where you click on your town, hit I'm looking for a job, then you get matched up with other people in that town also looking for a job and now you can start a new business together in that town? How many anons do you think it would take to start a successful business from probably very little money? (Maybe we could all sell our switch ones for some startup cash)?

you can relocate. many companies offer relocation

>be me born and live in a 3rd world shithole, likely have autism as well
>desperate for an entry-level job
>finally got into a crappy internship, for any chance of full-time eventually
>red flags appear more and more each week, as if it wasn't glaring how bad it seemed in the first place
>culture is mandated to be oversocialized
>everything is like a joke
>ihateithere ihateithere ihateithere
>try to shoulder through anyway, since i virtually got no other chance at all
>huge meeting now
>a guy praised how great and how somebody rated a certain intern highly
>i thought they were talking about me, mind too sluggish and blank to be cautious and process well
>"yes the 'late' guy"
>thought they truly talked about me, raised my hand
>"pls stand up"
>guy by my side stood up, now remember his name literal meaning is 'late'
>mind blank
>sweat like insane, realized how hot everything is
>try to socialize with everybody laterwards to feel less insecure, and to pretend i just raised my hand to wave at the guy next side

There's a hell load of craps if anybody's interested enough to ask.

Work-from-home jobs can be done from anywhere in the world. That's why Indians apply for them all in such leviathan numbers that you will never, ever be able to get such a job, even if you are good at it.

whenever you end up homeless but unmonitored, either start prepping a job search, or find a manager you like by networking and ask for an internal transfer. Go through official channels if they have them for when a manager quits.

You wanna move quickly as your promo timer is 100% reset when in this state, you're accruing no time. As a bargaining chip, you can win the love of most managers by saying
>Do you have any tickets or work on your team you'd want someone to take up, I have free capacity and literally nothing else to do as my manager's AWOL, I want to be useful.

It also gives you a useful answer to
>what do you even do here?
because if you do a good job of it, it's very rare your manager's manager can't fit you into their headcount or someone else's, and if it doesn't work out, the other manager gives you a glowing review to wherever you're going next as either an internal or external reference
