spend more than $2 at the dollar store on your cables anon
>>
I've never had a USB die on me, ever.
>>
i think it's more the port on my older phone than the cables but i ended up getting an el cheapo wireless charger to stop having to get it at juuust the right angle and disconnecting if i bump the desk
it's probably cooking my battery but it's nice for home use anyway
>>
>>109035587
WHAT EXACTLY IS THE PRICE POINT THAT I SHOULD BE LOOKING FOR BECAUSE I'VE BEEN DEALING WITH THIS SHIT FOR YEARS
>>
stop handling your tech like a chimp

All of my laptops and phones have lasted 3+ years, all of my peripherals last like 2+ years, it's specifically the fucking phone chargers
>>
>>109035581
Thank the EU.
You WILL enojoy your fragile USB-C cable and there will NEVER be technological improvement again.
This is what you are stuck with, forever and ever.

>All of my laptops and phones have lasted 3+ years, all of my peripherals last like 2+ years
Anon, that's not helping your case here. You stuff should last at least three times as long
>>
>>109035619
how much are you guys spending on your shit holy fuck
>>
>>109035626
>spend 50% more
>lasts 300%

nta, but my laptop is 10 years old any my phone 5 and a USB-C cable makes it four to seven moths with me.
Also i had to replace the port on the phone after 3 years as well.

I have a box full of USB-C cables that may charge if you try a few times, but that can't manage any data connection anymore, like tethering.
And since i use tethering to banevade on various platforms, they are useless to me.
>>
weird never had this problem

Not a thing with cables.
You can buy the most expensive thing around and it still breaks.
Cabels are the most well known scam for overcharging, ranging from the ocerpriced but fragile apple crap to ausiophile crazyness.
>>
note how nobody links you to an apparently good cable or even a brand

Nigga, my phone started having trouble charging at some point and all I had to do was dip one of these tiny brushes in alcohol and clean the port then it worked like new afterwards

I've been using the same Anker cable since 2022 and it still works perfectly

My dad gave the phone to me when he got a new one, I'd never pay for an Apple product
>>
>>109035650
I did that three times and then i just spent those 15 bucks to replace the port.
If you are man enough to take apart your phone, it's not much of a problem

Anker is the only reliable Chinese brand I trust.

Never had that problem
Sounds like a skill issue

OP is a teenage mulatto who manipulates USB cables by insulated conductor (rather than the connector/head) and wonders why it's broken after a hundred connect/disconnect mating cycles.
>>
>>109035581
I've never had a single USB cable fail, so I conclude that's likely a (You) problem

How your USB cables only last 4 months? I have decades old USB cables working. In fact I have dozens of USB cables and none ever fail.

>>

>decades old
well, that's obviously not USB-C then
>>

Your post literally contains the answer to your problem. Just spend the 50 dollars.

You already know what you need to do. Buy equipment from a reputable manufacturer that costs more.

Think of all the hassle and wasted time and repeat purchases you have to deal with when using low cost/low quality equipment. All of that is costing you more than paying upfront for better stuff.

It's a good lesson in general. Make an extra effort to seek out and purchase quality goods, and take care of them so that they last. Over the long term this will save you money and time and stress. Invest more at the start and reap the benefits over time.
>>
The only people who complain about cables failing are those who buy cheap cables that will always fail, because they perceive they always fail. And troglydites that just fuck their cables up
