"Tech Lead" here. My daily responsibilities now center on reviewing peers metrics and presenting those findings to management. I track average code changes, PR counts, Jira activity, and token spending. If someone drops below average, I must reach out to find out "what is wrong" and get their numbers back into the green.I've never felt this miserable.I tried explaining to the non-technical managers how most of these metrics are meaningless but they don't give a shit and they just have me doing this all day.Thinking of resigning.
