I am tired of reviewing my boss's AI slop. 2 years ago my coworkers treated me like jesus and now I feel like a janitor. Jobbing in scripting languages has been fun but I need to upskill into C++ and similar. Of course even before LLMs became usable I knew I should have done this earlier. I'm happily employed at a big name company (not fagman, but very lucrative sector) but I can tell you from interview experience with fagmans that they are all ultra jeeted. Microsoft, oracle, and a few other fagmans I tried. If you're not a jeet or chinese then you need absolutely perfect scores on literally all questions throughout the 5-6 hour interview. Good luck with that even if you know the material because the interviewers are all off the boat and have such a thick accent that they are literally indecipherable. I got so frustrated with one saying gobbldy gook during the interview while I was trying to work through a problem that I told him I can't understand him and to be quiet. The fact their english is so bad, yet they have a job in the company, should also tell you how much racial nepotism there is.

I've done this before to stir the hornets nest by sending some pretty extreme gaps directly to head of compliance and tagging the COO, it's funny to watch everyone shit themselves for a few weeks while you finalize your job switch

all that ultimately matters is looking good to the next employer and maybe the head of the previous company, you can always explain that you were disappointed with the performance of the previous team and that's why you've left (this has been the genuine reason for leaving all of my jobs). if the C-levels are white or asian they will immediately understand this.

How do I stop job hoppers? We just lost our third SE in this position. I don't get it. The only solution I can think of is to stop hiring overqualified people, but that sucks, so I'm supposed to not get the best candidate??
