Guitar you'd need a sm57 to record your cabinet, bass you can do the same or go DI through a sansamp or something which is what I use. You can use the sm57 on a sax as well it's basically the best microphone ever invented and any industry person will essentially agree. You'd want a nice condenser for vocals and room though. I actually record musicians regularly if you have any questions.

I'm currently in the process of building a flight sim setup in my living room, separate from my setup in my bedroom. This one is purely for flying since I'm planning on getting my pilots license soon. The adhesive with the Tobii tracker is dogshit so I included it in the image. I've since 3D printed a stand and screwed the Tobii onto it.
