Mercor is the funniest scam company ever

>run by like 5 jeets
>"we need people to train ai"
>"here's an ai run interview where you have to train ai"
>"here's another ai run interview where you have to train ai"
>"here's yet another ai run interview where you have to train ai"
>and the gullible user just gives them AI training for free

It's such an obvious racket, yet the length people are willing to deny and defend the scheme on Reddit (e.g. r/mercor_ai) is insane. I know they're probably some network of Indian scambots, but they're so sophisticated for the run of the mill Indian scambot.

did you know that if you spend time and money to get the useless degrees and certifications, they have to give you a job? its federal law. even if there's many times more people than there are jobs, we are all entitled to a tech job. don't get demoralized by psyoppers in these threads. if you take out massive debt to study a useless degree you will be rewarded in the end. we're all going to make it!

That subreddit looks like an actual glimpse into dystopian technofeudalist panopticon hell. A bunch of slaves snitching on each other and talking like true believer cult members. Lots of bots too. This is the gayest future we ever could've hoped for. I'd rather have literal AIDS spreading pozzed giga nigger enforcers patrolling the streets than this limp dick ass dystopia. Jdimsa

In uni you have fun learnig cool advanced shit all the time and then when you start working it's all just "add an endpoint and interact with this database" which STILL somehow manages to waste your entire day and leave you depleted...

>The interview-grade sentence you've now earned rather than memorized: "GCD's reader-writer barrier pattern deadlocks under Swift concurrency because sync readers park cooperative threads behind an enqueued barrier that needs one of those very threads to run — blocking on future work violates the pool's forward-progress contract. The fix isn't a different queue configuration; it's moving to compiler-checked isolation." Very few candidates can say that with a story attached. You debugged your way into it.

Lost my job 5mo ago and ive been applying everywhere but cannot get a job, not even one paying half my last salary.
It is not like i dont get interviews, ive been consistently getting 3-5 every week for months but i never go to next round.
The worse is that i go to reddit, see people, very likely lying, about getting jobs easily. They say that with my cv i should get a job easily bc it is not a weak stack plus i went to college.
I should have stopped interacting with these people because im almost starting to believe this a gangstalking operation to make me feel useless.

I had completely quit smoking and drinking 1.5y ago but after months and months of demoralization now im backing to starting the day with my beer. Thats the only way i can keep punching a wall here. It is very difficult to keep studying, practing leetcode and rehearsing for interviews with that feeling of none of this matters and i wont get the job anyway. Even talking to hr is making me angry for no reason.

It feels all this idea of going to college and studying fucking coding was a massive waste of time. I invested 14 years of my life in this scam. I could instead use that time to master any actual useful skill like cooking, drawing, carpentry, singing. I would be broke anyway but at least i would be good in some useful skill. Now with fucking comp sci you cannot do anything useful. Like what, i will code an AI b2b saas for my neighboor when his house is burning or code some facebook clone for my dying grandma. What a waste of time.
>>
>>109361155
People being hired to build some software? Maybe in 1985. Today you have all these massive jewish corps and the fake economy. They dont produce anything of value for society and the """"jobs"""" is all about filling esg quotas. Plus it is way better to pay very high salaries to women instead of men. The average woman is way more propense to spend money in useless shit and thats good for (((them))). Pay a woman 300k, she will buy from clothes from (((burberry))), go to dr (((silverstein))) to get medication for anxiety, go to dr (((goldberg))) to put fillings in her face.

Just use them well, I have 4 women in my team, 2 were with me for 3 years plus, 2 were new hires for about a year. The original 2 were doing all the shit i didn't wanna do, like updating me with news of the day and other instructions from the middle and senior management, scheduling my visits, making my coffee, taking messages for me when I'm 3 hours late for work, and those aren't even in their job scope. The 2 new ones have also started doing those things slowly. Now I just play video games most of the time while they handle 90% of my job and I only need to step in when it's stuff they can't handle.

poptarts
cereal bars
peanut butter
crackers
applesauce
granola bars
trail mix
chips
canned soup
canned veggies
tuna packets
bread

change direction.
you sound like a smart guy and i recognise your perspective. the skills you have learned dont seem to be useful, but unfortunately you spent a lot of time learning them. consider that you have likely learned very good system and logical reasoning skills and that will enable you to pick up another skill quickly, despite your age. what are your financial burdens? (mortgage, kids, etc)
just get the 50% job now and 100% commit to something to be your next trade, invention or scheme. bonus if the 50% job and your intended direction align

This seems like a recipe for disaster, what with the whole hunger games situation he's talking about. The whole situation just screams "We already have are picks chosen, but for legal reasons, we need to make sure that everyone else who applied had a 'chance' to compete." When I was applying for tech jobs, and doing interviews I've never heard of these competitions take place ever, it just seems shady to me.

oh in that case
the DoD accepts just about anyone as long as u have permanent residency. your clearance might get delayed a lot and you might still get rejected, but they're hiring a lot right now. you have a good chance as long as you can get into the country, but they won't sponsor a visa.

>>
>>109372126
visa isn't an issue since I get a TN, but I'm pretty sure DoD will not since you need to be around or handle ITAR shit, or get secrete clearance and you can't do either without US citizenship (or L1 which I won't get), which is kind of stupid since I can already handle that exact same ITAR shit in canada
>>
>>109372141
I just looked it up and you're right, but when I applied they didn't ask about citizenship, just residency. Maybe you could try at another branch. My bad.
>>
>>109372154
I don't think you can enter another country by literally choosing what will do there as a job unless you're a part of 1% developers. I knew guys who could pull the tricks, like the one who owned his own repair shop for years, has been programming for decades and worked at large companies like WD
>>
>>109372275
what? a job offer is almost always a requirement for entry
>>
>>109372280
Yeah, but the anon sounded like you can choose what company will give it to you, when in reality you'll simply reach out to many companies in hopes that they'll give you the offer. It's also less likely to happen if it's your first rodeo aka you don't have even a single experience with working abroad. Good news is once you have this experience, it'll get much easier for you

Just landed something. My parents were proud of me and all that, but eventually they got really finicky about how important it was to cleanse my social media presence, and not to get myself outed as the raging channer sperg groyper I am on the chans (and the farms, etc.)

How bad are things realistically? I've said plenty of things that, if tied to my real-life profile, could seriously undermine my perception as a person. Nothing outright illegal or arrestable, like I'm not some murderer or pdf, but plenty of hot political takes, including like some racist or anti-Jew shit.

Go to reddit and see all these people who are either lying or are just bots saying that you can easily get a job as long as you are a good dev. Confront them and they will say that the problem is your social skills or lack of friends. Everyone there has at least 2 wfh jobs and a vast contact list so even if they lose all the wfh jobs they can instantly get another 3 wfh jobs at faang because they are pretty popular and have so many friends.

No way this isnt a botfarm by govt or them to purposely make real people feel worse and blame the economy on themselves rather than the system.

How exactly a 20s nobody will be constantly meeeting powerful old men? Same as when incels post on reddit and people will tell them to just take a shower.

If you're attractive enough it doesn't matter.
French actor Alain Delon used to be homeless in the 50s & 60s and would crash on random women's houses because they would keep approaching him on the street and inviting him home.

One of my greatest interview fears is getting asked deep questions about concepts I only have working knowledge of.
>Oh wow, you sure know your ports, haha we've never had an interviewer mention 666 before, Doom, what a throwback, haha... so anyway, you clearly know your stuff, so tell me: What is a network port? How do they work? Why or why wouldn't I be able to disguise an Ncat session as HTTPS over UDP port 42069?
I think I'd start crying.

Actually it's not like I'm low on free time, I guess I should ask ChatGPT all my nightmare interview questions so I can learn that big knowledge for all the interviews I don't get.

I was thinking today about how my local high street has a mentally disabled guy who hangs around all the shops. He's harmless and perfectly nice, although it's a bit weird to have this giant super-strength retard loitering around all day. But he's a local institution. All the shop staff in every shop know him by name (he's called Cameron apparently), and they'll stick up for him and fight for him if anyone tries to abuse him. He's probably got a mental age of about seven. A couple of the shops even pay him to clean, or help direct customers, or collect shopping trolleys, or whatever, just because it's nice to give him money since he's always hanging around and offering to help out anyway.

What I'm saying is, Cameron has a job and you fucking don't. That's pathetic.

oh, sorry, I get it now. But it wasn't as a flex. It's extremely stressful, I've met more people in the past week than I've met in the past 15 years. It's so exhausting. And there's like so many projects going on at once and having to call different places to set up things so other things happen that should be. Miscommunication, people saying things that aren't actually true causing issues. I have headaches every single day and have to take 3 ibuprofen. My social skills are super poor from isolation since a young age. I keep not saying goodbye or nice to meet you back to people who say it and I did that with someone high up because I was scared. I hope I don't get it fired because I'm autistic social retard.

It's funny you say that, because I read an article years ago about some MIT students making a program to do more basic programming like stacks and such. I don't think they called it AI, but they did say that this would become common eventually or something like that. But it seemed so far off. I need to see if I can find it again. So maybe it's been worked on in secret this whole time.

>So maybe it's been worked on in secret this whole time.

they've worked on this for 50+ years. imagine in 2004 you could get 800 bucks making html websites for mom and pop pizza places. then it gets ruined by big platform corps that put freelancers (INDEPENDENT HUMANS) out of jobs to enrich one founder. same happens with automation engineers, devops tools, at every single step programmers lose out while only one company founder benefits from lost jobs and becomes a billionaire.

even before ai "front end engineers" stopped being a thing, you had to be full stack, then you had to additionally know kubernetes

every step of the way programmers lose jobs, lose out on pay, work becomes harder

all before AI. how did you not notice this happeN? fucking retard. boomers at /twg/ got hired in 2017 after a 6 week ruby bootcamp for completing literal fizzbuzz, now they're seniors saying "grads/juniors know nothing"

Money was kinda a scam too me. I went to a top3 college in my country and managed to hold a high paying job for a a couple years. My pay was ~x10-11 min wage, i was in top 10 or 5% income here.

I never dreamed about having material posessions like luxury cars, watches, or reting at 40 or owning a big house, having a family, travelling the world or openning my own business... you know, the dreams of ambitious people.

Im from a poor family but never really cared, as long as i have the basics im fine. Since i had to try a profession i tried to aim higher as possible. Besides this, i had this idea that having money would make it easier to get a gf or fuck girls overall. Im not fat or autistic, but im very average. Im not tall or have borad shoulders or a good face. Also yes, i do have hobbies, go to gym, play sports.
But yeah, money never really helped. Even though i was living in a nice neighborhood and could easily travel, go to expensive places and so, i never found a way to make use of the money to achieve anything other than paying prostitutes.
1.5y ago i was heavily donating money to charities since i had no use for it. I even donated steam games to randons.

So i dont really care about losing my job that much since i can live with way less money, plus i couldnt convert into anything useful. Before i lost my job i was planning to start travelling the world to improve my ig. If i could go back in time i would focus on building a social brand on tiktok instead of going to college. I think fame and having contacts would be way more helpful than money. Also yes, looks but that you cannot change. And i even spent money on non invasive aesthetics procedures, mostly in my hair, but never saw any differences.

For me it's fine. In the US I needed to send >300 applications for 1 offer. Here I only need to send ~20. But I have 5 yoe and a grad degree so it's not the same as new grads, and the stats suggest it's impossible for new grads to get a job.
>>
>>109393329
are you unempolyed? how do you pay mortgage and bills with 3k
>>
I cant do the interviews where they sit down the gay nigger or jeet troon with the fluoride stare and ask me questions about my experience, please fucking god put the leetcode questions back on the screen

>schedule specific time to talk to recruiter today
>saaaar you didn't pick up my phone call at a random time yesterday and I am considering that you are no longer interested in this position now
why can't there be more normal competent white recruiters that don't do this shit?
>>

I am not a CS guy myself but I hang out around + I live in Germany. A lot of stuff I have heard or read from programmers was pretty grim. The worst ones are on German subreddit though, every day there are threads complaining about no response after 100+ applications. Also, it seems to me that the diploma mill in Germany is even crazier than in the USA. I constantly get bootcamp ads on Insta, that's because in Germany there's a scam where the state pays to private learning centers for education of unemployed people, so the German bootcamps are extremely interested in drafting as many retards as possible. The government doesn't review performace or efficiency of that "education", so the bootcamps provide the market with a constant stream of unemployable people with basic CS skills.

Haven't tried in 2 years (because I'm employed) but it took 1-2 applications and usually they came to me from recruited without me having to send them.
masters's and a few years of experience

nta but is 3k really that little in the US?
>>

That's close to what I have.
But I'm in east europe so I imagine there's a difference in buying power.

Our communication kind of died out, and the IT guy doesn't really care that much about them either.

If you're a a full-stack webshit and don't know much else (well except desktop Linux usage, Docker, Ansible), is it possible to learn any of these (or even multiple of these) to a junior/middle level in roughly a year or so:
1. Data Analyst
2. Business Analyst
3. Systems Analyst
4. Sysadmin
5. DevOps
6. Project Manager
7. Product Manager
8. Mobile development
Or something else that you might propose? If yes, what do you recommend?
The goal is to try to get a job in one of these
>>
>>109395160
Data and business analyst is literally retarded entry level they expect you to be doing the worst grunt work, like know some basic sql and you are a top entrant.
In a lot of places analyst is just a title for "entry bitch boy", not a job description

Speaking as someone who had to get an upgrade to a TS clearance because of my old network control station job in Andrews AFB.

Those Feds literally do not have the capacity or resources to trace whatever shit posting you've ever did on anonymous image boards, lmao. They won't even know about it unless you tell them.

Well, it is all about stealing your data and trainning their AI model for free. The job probably not even real. Same as we goyim solve captchas to post here in the epstein imageboard. All free work.

Damn, I promised myself I wouldn't come back and check in on this thread. A guy who is 35 who has nearly 500k in total wealth.

I'm 27, with only 3k in the bank and draining slowly, with only a CS degree and 1.5 yoe of real experience and not just padded shit I added to my resume.

I'm now unreasonably depressed again. I'm working up the courage to hang myself day after day. It's so fucking over.

I remember I once searched job websites for any jobs at all, and filtered it based on salary instead of job title. So I would only find well-paying jobs, whatever they were. There aren't any. No jobs pay well these days. Your best bet is some sort of managerial or consultancy role. Alternatively, the good jobs are not advertised on job websites, which is also possible.

>>109391166
If you can't talk about the company and can only talk about yourself, you're not going to be much fun to work with. Have you tried having less autism?

>>109392065
At my cancerous Indian job that I regularly blogpost about here, one of the latest people we have hired is a recent graduate with a cybersecurity degree. There's also one with a degree in software engineering. The office superstar who knows everything turns out to have a degree in mechanical engineering. We all work together with recent immigrants and refugees who barely speak English. This is in England, not America, but it's truly ogre for society.
>>
>>109396292
yeah but dont give up fren we will make it no other way around it.. keep applying eventually u will get something

It can get better. I am 27yo as well and a few years earlier I found myself homeless and penniless in a warzone, with my apartment and savings stolen while the cozy job I had was taken away due to war. Spent 6 months living in hostels and such. Yet today I am living in safety in a much better country with more money than I lost + decent inheritance incoming, meanwhile a lot of my compatriots are living in filth themselves. You lose only when you acknowledge that you lost.
>>
>>109392364
You have the same chance as any of the rest of us, so don't give up hope. But those chances are very low. I'm older than many of the NEETs here (and it fucking shows) and I can offer you the extremely basic and fundamental advice that small unknown companies and awful shitty companies are the places you should be applying to. Perhaps you know this already, but many people in /utwg/ are too young and cluelessly retarded to know this.

Technically, the "manosphere" includes both terrorist incel grifters and genuine men's mental health discussion. This thread is part of the manosphere really. But most people don't mean it like that, much in the same way that everyone on the planet has been "involuntarily celibate" at some point, but only the truly unstable make it a key part of their identity.

£12,000. Based on my calculations, my current job pays about £200 a month less than I need to live, so I'm losing money. But I'll be running this shit in six months so I'm not giving up yet.

It only takes a couple of years to get a great life. This is why you sometimes see 22-year-olds who own houses and have wives and kids. You could get a good job when you're 40 and everything will be great when you're 42. Then, it won't matter at all what your life was like at 39, or 38, or whatever age you are now. You're just looking for an excuse to stop trying. Never stop trying.
>>
>>109396383
Don't know much about SSCP but security+ is worthless outside of government jobs.

And you also have to deal with comptia's jewish recert ponzi scheme.

Don't do it unless you already have a government job, or they are willing to sponsor a test for you.
>>
>>109396439
Its apparent that >.0001% of the posters in these threads or this board in general have had any experience with clearance jobs. Those jobs are more nepotistic than any job in the civilian world is, by far.

Its so bad, that there are laws that actually weigh more towards vets with clearances than normal civilians. Its hilarious.
>>
I look down on the public sector

Do I certmaxx?
