1. Not everyone lives in US and tech is a luxury, not a commodity in most of the world. Saying that, most laptops ship with 16GB(nowadays even 8GB) of soldered ram with no option to upgrade it2. I'm not using your electron "app", because most likely it has nothing of value3. It can, but if you open a couple of electron apps and a browser, you're fucked. On top of that electron apps are slow.But I acknoledge that on mobile there is no decent way to write crossplatform apps other than react native so I dont care if ts is used there

Shit like react or flutter is fine for a thin client, and we do use those things for such purposes at my org, but if you actually need to process a significant amount of data in real time you're gonna need C++. Or Rust or whatever. My current company does a lot of very heavy AV signal processing and my previous one was running massive amounts of simulated entities for military simulations. In both companies we were pushing the limits of what you could do with multiple max spec rack mount servers.
