My shitty potato PC can't play modern games, but it plays every game I ever wanted to emulate for the past 30 years, so if the prices rise, then let them rise. I'm the kind of guy that doesn't even need more than 1 terabyte of space. Especially when Metroid and Zelda occupy a few megabytes, at most.

Anyone feel the same? I know my computer is laughable compared to modern PCs, but really, what is there to play? UE5 slop? Lazy remasters of 20 year old games that are bloated and unoptimized?

I used to but with how prices are going for everything, even mechanical HDDs, I decided I'd just run each drive independently for the sake of longevity because I have no reason to have multiple drives spinning up at the same time. It also saves on power usage. I use AOEMI Backupper to do my backups because Windows default backup SUCKS COCK. They have to be manual backups because I'm using the free version of the program but I haven't added new data to my collection ina while, so no backup really needed.

To be fair the MMO mouse has seen heavy use and it only just started exhibiting the excess click middle mouse problem. I only use middle mouse to open links in new tabs when reading the news so I can get over it. The other mouse though. It was "cheap" as in it cost me only $30 instead of the $90 I spent on the MMO one. For $30 I expect basic use, i.e. left, middle, and right click. I bought a 2 meter cable matters dp80 2.1 cable (2 meters should be possible now) and it fucking has artifacting indicative of a dodgy cable, even though it is listed on the vesa certified website. none of the reviews have any issues so either 99% of people who bought it don't actually use 2.1 and vesa just test the bare minimum or I bent it in such a way that the cable is FUCKED. do I buy a silkland cable instead, they don't even sell 1.5m ones in Australia on amazon

That's just an issue of things wearing out, easy to fix.
Just buy a bunch of encoders and switches from China, they cost fuckall and your mouse will be as good as new.
I got fed up with buying new mice and have now replaced my wheel encoder and switches multiple times.
Only thing you need to do is solder a bit and that's it, extremely simple and saves you tons of money.

Peeling off the factory sticker usually voids your manufacturer warranty (they ask you to send photos of the SSD in an RMA).

MSI's notification settings (16h/24h) don't change this rule, but if you leave it on for 24 hours straight, it forces the cycle automatically.
