>>109452108>>artix immediately regretsReally kind of them to still package this thing...
>>109452160I had high hopes desu, I'm back to Xorg for now because there were crashes on my intel igpu. Perhaps it'll sort things out.
>>109452204>desulol, newfag
>>109452108This is just a reactionary nostalgia fork, X was shit and still with X11/Xorg/Xlibre it still is.- yserver- phoeniXAre better ideas. I don't think wayland was the solution.Pipewire for displays would have been better. something that supports X11 directly while also applying it's own protocol, hell the X11 features could just be a wrapper.
>>109452259Agreed, the idea was excellent but the implementation sucked. It must be rewritten, but not the crappy way of Wayland nor the hopeless rebranding of Xlibre.
>>109452160intimidating, staying on xorg for now
>>109452160I'll wait for season 2
>>109452259>yserverThe vibecoded Rust reimplementation of X11? The only thing remarkable about it is that using y instead of x is very honest for a Rust coder.
>>109452259phoenix? wasn't its dev part of xlibre some time back and left because metux kept force-pushing or something?>>109452160some users got really pissed off, lol
I havent had any problems with xlibre, but im using built in modesetting and amdgpu. Only x driver i build / use is the xlibre evdev driver. Im not running the latest dev build only latest stable. Metux has been using ai tools quite a lot which is a bit concerning, but if he can manage that well and other people dont spam the project with slop it should be fine.
>>109454372(me)I just checked, im on 25.1.8 people are having problems with the dev builds 25.2+
>>109452160That's quite a long list
>>109452160So what was the reason behind this disaster? Too much AI or just sheer incompetence?
>>109452160Surely it will get better someday, right? I will just wait till the next Debian/Devuan release
i've only had an issue with fastcompmgr but i think that's been fixed. i still have no idea what any of this "drama" is or why i keep seeing threads about it. i'm not some anti-wayland fag i just i'm just an icewm autist who can't be arsed to move over atm.
>>109452160Please delet dis >>109457344You must have been with the lucky ones
>>109452108this wayland shill killed it btw https://brodie-robertson.pages.dev/
>>109458248>presenting the interests and happenings of one of the Standard Internet User Types as if any of it means anything?
oh it's this thread againdis gon be gud
>>109452160This thread is unusually quiet unlike the previous, I guess tango got range-banned. Which proves my suspicion he's the only Xlibre shill left.
I'm just gonna continue using cinnamon with regular x11 and ignore goofy nerd drama and my computer will keep working normally.
>>109452108>Expect the Xlibre PR manager known as tango to arrive for damage control.Still absent, he must have earned a broad and lengthy ban.>>109452160So, he basically tried to present this as bad-faith reporting in the previous thread. This dude has done more damage to xlibre than everything else combined. I wonder why he hasn't got the boot yet.
>>109461355>I wonder why he hasn't got the boot yet.how he's even posting in the Artix forums still is beyond me
>>109461415damn, too kind for this world. if that was me i'd ban that dumbass to kingdom come.
