Who the fuck is putting a computer together when RAM and SSDs are so expensive? Noone is retarded enough to pay that much.
>>
>>109532234
it's just a few bux more.
>>
>>109532241
But it's the principle. Never reward those who rub their hands together.

you are still going to have pass for gas
you are still going to have to pay for food
you are still going to have pay for electricity
you are still going to have to pay for water
you are still going to have to pay your taxes
but you draw the line at a gaming pc?

I'm only going to buy rdna5 after rdna6 leaks confirm the flagship won't have much more ram, it's been decided.

you can even do 1440p60 on this baby
use the remaining $100 for either a case, or a rx9060xt 16gb or something

>>109532455
they're apt budget cards, can manage 1440p60 in modern games. however, you gotta use dxvk on directx11 and older games in order to squeeze max performance out of them, so not 100% retard friendly.
>>
>>109532487
it also doesn't work for multiplayer games since they ban you for fucking and injecting the game files
>>
>>109532495
proof? dxvk is used by steamos
>>
>>109532501
i am on linux and if the online game doesn't explicitly allow it via it's anti cheat etc you won't be able to join a match or even start the game
the mechanism it uses to replace dx11 with vulkan hooks into the game files (like a cheat) via it's dll files
any half decent anti cheat is going to look at that and block it
>>
>>109532395
Is the 5500 enough for the b580? I heard it has high cpu driver overhead so I am not sure if it is good enough unless they fixed it.

The good news is that PC gaming is still just as cheap and as good as it’s ever been, unless you’re some stupid sheep that only plays the latest AAA UE5 slop. The golden age of PC gaming was a roughly 25 year span starting in 1990. These are the greatest games ever made and they can all easily run on an ewaste dell office pc with a $40 GPU upgrade. Multiplayer is different, but those games usually run on your cheap toaster, anyways. Reject modernity, buy old hardware and play old games. Pic mostly unrelated.
>>
>>109532447
It's a cheap way to upgrade a 5090 to 48gb. Just buy 6 of them
>>
>>109532523
the 5500 can handle a 9060xt so the b850 will be fine
>>
>>109532583
5500 is about as fast as a 3600 since half it's cache is missing

>>109532234
You only need 16 GB RAM and 1TB SSD to get a PC running and usable for 99% of use cases.
>>
>>109532282
No it's not.
>>
>>109532395
>>109532425
And add more storage. 512 GB is just enough for the OS and perhaps the user profile.
>>
>>109532670
512 is enough on linux + like 4 big games
>>
>>109532686
Linux has "big games"?
>>
>>109532429
They won't relese them because more VRAM is currently not available.

Stalk Facebook Market. That's what I did. Some guy sold me a 4Tb MX500 SSD for $100 about a month ago. He discounted it because it had some minor scuffing. Drive was fine. I see people from time to time list DDR5 for its old prices and so managed to get 64gb of DDR5 for $150 (albeit mismatched), same deal with GPUs, got an RX 7900 GRE for $360.

Depends on your market obviously but I'm in a mid sized southern city, if you're in a bigger town, you likely could get everything done in just a few weeks. Just got to be patient and forget about the cosmetics.
>>
>>109525394
>5900xt has inter ccd lag thoughbeit

essentially a lie. It's literally true, but the performance is the performance.

And, it makes it sound like there's no advantage to having multiple ccds.

There's a huge advantage, you have lower risk of stress fractures. It's an insanely wise choice for *some* users, which is to say most, actually.

Again, performance is performance. You can't point out a design decision's POTENTIAL problems without looking at the engineering OUTCOME.
