>>109557874It really is depending on the machine, I had a 1.8GHz MacBook air that would sit at 2.9GHz and 100C watching youtube (no wonder those pieces of shit die out of nowhere), but them by handy dandy T470 will just sit there at 75C with both cores at 100% doing 2.7-2.8GHz (single thread will run at 3.5 which is cool), while I do wish it was a little more aggressive. it is workstation cool and quiet when you are beating on it.

So I'm upgrading the shitty screen in my T420 and am soliciting opinions on specific models. Right now I have the TN 1366x768 panel.I got one of these 30/40 pin kits, but the compatible screen models listed by the seller are all over the place. Do these converter kits have a wide range of compatibility, or should I strictly stick to the list? There are tons of sites (including ebay and amazon) where you can get one of the listed models, but whether the one that arrives will actually be what it says is concerning.I think I'd rather find a reputable source, browse what's actually available, and buy a panel based on resolution, color gamut, matte/gloss, etc. I don't like just pasting a model number from a list of like 20, because they're clearly all different if they have different model numbers, but I can't tell what any of them are!!! If anyone's done this upgrade or similar, how did you handle it?
