Is the monitor in the OP (KTC M27T6) good? What about other options?
>>109565134Tomahawk's third M.2 slot runs at PCIe Gen 4.0 x4 vs G4 x2 on the B850 MSI Pro V Evo.Tomahawk also has a few more USB ports.& better power phases (VRMs likely to run cooler at high loads, not too meaningful if you stop at 8-core X3Ds)
>>109565381>M27T6The hype kind of died down and TCL's been aggressively releasing new miniLED monitors. If you don't care about HDR, I advise you to buy a cheaper IPS 1440p gaming monitor and wait™ until higher quality miniLED or OLED monitors release.
>>109565381M27T6S is an IPS miniLED that's decently discounted in the US.But its HDR accuracy isn't that great (makes the image brighter than intended).Don't expect these Chinese monitor brands to release firmware fixes in the future.Worst case, you can use this as a normal IPS monitor with local dimming off.https://www.displayninja.com/ktc-m27t6s-review/IPS alternative for me would be the ASUS ROG XG27ACG ($220), this is choosing the devil you know..

>>109565774Depends on the rest of your system, budget, and the games you usually play.

>>109565756Basically you upgrade the CPU/GPU keep everything else (assuming you have enough DDR4 ram) and by the time you are hardware limited in however many years the prices would likely be lowered as the AI buying will not last for years meaning they will have to go back to catering towards personal computers again. AM5/DDR5 is nothing special and a AM4 5800x3d is not slowing down any GPU currently made including the ones that cost 2k. Kind of like the car market in 2020 if you bought then you go hosed if you could hold out for a bit longer keep your current car running you can now get great deals, basic supply and demand.

I've NEARLY completed my first PC build. However, the only thing that's prevent me from completely finishing it is the problem I have with display. The PSU I have has two VGA cables, and I don't know if I have to use both of them since the PSU as two PCIe ports. The GPU has two 8-pin ports. One of the VGA cables splits in two and from what I've read it's so that I can power the GPU using a single cable. The other VGA cable has a daisy link. Both of them have 6+2 connectors, and I cannot for the life of me keep them connected to make 8-pins. Are they supposed to clip on and stay connected? With the GPU, I'm certain that I have it installed in the motherboard properly. I even had to remove the CPU cooler just so that I can SEE that I was installing it properly. I did put the CPU cooler back in afterwards.Despite all of this, when I turn the PC on and plug the monitor in, I still get a no signal message on the monitor regardless of whether I'm using Display Port or HDMI. Not even plugging the monitor into the motherboard's DP/HDMI ports work. It still displays the no signal message.Am I doing anything wrong? Or is there something wrong with the VGA cables?
I now know what it's like to be a cat and eat a mouse. I bought toasted whole almonds, as a snack. Well, the squeak on your teeth.

>>109566224>Are they supposed to clip on and stay connectedthe +2 pins normally slides onto the 6 pin block and the whole thing clips into the GPU in my build. If terms of your other problem, the fact that you're not getting any output from your motherboard's output has me thinking the issue is beyond you GPU power. Are you sure the motherboard is getting power at all? Fans spinning, lights flashing ect.
Hi all,I’ve finished my build, booted it up, updated the BIOS, and installed Windows. Before I close the case and start using it, I’d like to plug in a SATA cable so I can add extra hard drives later. My be quiet! Pure Power PSU came with two SATA cables that look slightly different, and I’m not sure which one to use.I’d like to add one hard drive for now, but I may add a second one in the future. Could someone take a look at the cables below and tell me which one I should use?Cable 1:(1) https://postimg.cc/cgSvXZq9This cable has different plugs at the end of the cable.Cable 2:(2) https://postimg.cc/DWdGVmPL One of these(3) https://postimg.cc/6T1vxkCt Four of theseThe second Sata cable has one connector from the above link and 4 from the second link. Can anyone help with what goes where? What cable should i use, what plugs in where? What goes in the motherboard? What plug goes in the Hard Drive?Sorry if i've confused matters.Thanks.
