this is only semi related but kinda relevant because of the whole AI discussion. i wonder if in the future the skill of transcription will be lost to future musicians. some of these AI tools are scary good, but theres a certain satisfaction of working out a song note by note instead of tossing it into some algorithm.
does chuzo ever tire of this? what is his endgame
>>109630761do YOU ever tire of this? what's your point. at least /prod/ seems to have been dead for a couple of days so they have better things to do presumably. anons are unironically fucking retarded like the boomer cries like a baby about how audio engineering is being gatekept because he doesn't know why mixing engineers use sharp EQ filters and he thinks the AI is lying to him so he can't accept any of its answers so it will remain a mystery to him. yet you think i'm the one who's stupid, mentally ill etc and not you. i'm making orders of magnitude more rapid progress than you with no end in sight.
>>109631027your acceptance of AI is gonna be the death of us all
>>109631105AI is helping me build my own mastering-grade tube opto compressor. this wouldn't be realistic for 99% of engineers, they would buy an off-the-shelf piece of gear, or inherit vintage gear if working in an old studio, or they would use VST slop. you would have been making VST slop music even if AI never existed, and you would never keep up with people who are smarter than you. you're the one who's dropping the ball and not me.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c7nnkYsBVsM
https://www.youtube.com/shorts/iutUDNjR294
at what point did vsts become so good that hardware is basically irrelevant? 2010?
>tin ear anon makes music using only VSTs>gets no success, the audience categorically rejects the slop>blames music industry gatekeeping by (((dajoos)))
i really want to be famous and rich and the greatest producer that's why I submit songs here
>>109629377I think it's great, wish it existed when I was just learning an instrument, one of the least objectionable uses of machine learning in music IMO
>>109633824I agree, it would suck having to learn the instrument AND transcription at the same time. But it's a very good skill to have, to hear music and know what chords/notes are being played. I can determine notes and basic chords but it takes around 30 seconds, with practice the time can be cut shorter and shorter.
>>109629377ive found that it can transcribe fairly well but get confused too easily on certain notes or overtones. its quicker for me to do an ai stem separate, and then manually transcribe it in Transcribe. also for general theory questions its useful, although there has been instances where ive had it not even know the notes on a fretboard. so hit or miss. a proper ai trained on music theory books would probably be very helpful vs reddit or wherever they trained this on
dmp is my favorite general
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdYsxc10AGs>new song by despacito guy>sounds like AI slop temu version of despacito
btw despacito was mixed by jaycen jashua before he went in the boxme despido was mixed by tom norris who mixes in the boxa youtuber who is a serban ghenea fanboy also admires tom norris
recording vocals why cant i hit these fuckin notes fuck my chud life
basically you're low effort scammers so you feel threatened by AI because your plugins sound inoffensive at best, even a goated mixing engineer like serban ghenea doesn't really make great sounding mixes he's just prolific enough and works with people like max martin who produce songs that are destined to become hits without the mixing engineer having much to do with their success
>>109640895hell nawl im just gonna leave this one a instrumental
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nMGchph76UE
Crickets be, uh... cricking?
not an argument
>>109640898I have scammed 100's for the lowest effort, which is why I'm making more money than you (and more songs). I am not threatened by AI in the slightest - in fact, I can continue to scam with minimal effort unperturbed due to pandering to the anti-AI crowd, labelling my low effort sloppa as 'hand-crafted'.
seban's mixes are "good" if you go by narrow left-brain technical metrics like overall loudness, loud and intelligible vocals, snappy transients. but cargo cultists think of his mixes as sonic perfection which is not the case at all, they're not what audiophiles are chasing. despacito is like the world record music video and it was mixed with outboard gear, not by serban ghenea. manny marroquin also has great mixes of selena gomez etc etc. serban is all about quantity over quality, he has many duds that didn't make it anywhere near the #1 spot on the charts.
>>109641699
>>109629337Progress, i hope the anons who find their samples in this songs like it.list of samples by now:>Hacker Known as 4chan>I Hate Technology>Psicological Explosion (Shitposting 1st)>Linus Torvalds Fuck You Nvidia>Evil plans>Maybe Romantic>Caught Feelingsstill in progress, i think it'll be ready tomorrowhttps://files.catbox.moe/5wrqna.mp3
>>109641873Why is that relevant, you dribbling, mouth-breathing, barely sentient vegetable? I don't care about your desperate implications to try and gain the upper hand, relying on AI to do the thinking for you because you can't produce a single original thought for yourself.
>>109642082you're bragging about making 100's like you're some underage third worlder thinking that's impressive. you've spent years practicing and releasing music and that's all you have to show for it. my gear is worth like 100x while you don't even have the brain power to know what the gear can do for you so you won't invest in much gear even if you can technically afford it.
>>109642232As expected, you lack reading comprehension, so decided to parse what I said in whatever way suited you best. I said I have scammed 100's... 100's of people. That's hundreds, and it could mean multiple hundreds, and I don't come cheap. I am guaranteed more well-off than you and there's not a single tantrum you can post that will convince me otherwise, you sad little maggot. I'm guessing your sentence was provided to you by AI that interpreted what I said incorrectly, because it's also really fucking stupid (but not as stupid as you are).
>>109642306you still suck at music that's why you consider it to be scamming, because you don't have the talent, you're just taking advantage of people (grifting) just like psycho_monkey on gearspace who thinks he's a good mixer but then posts songs with like 10k views or even less because they're actually not good songs and not good mixes either, you have even worse taste than a normie who has had no in depth education about music or audio engineering
>>109642329This is a lot of projecting. It's over, friend, time to take a break.
>>109642337you literally suck, you have no deeper appreciation of music or sound quality, you're extremely overconfident about your plugin slop mixes, the only justification for mixing ITB is to save money and time, like manny marroquin said in a recent video 100% of the people he talked to they wouldn't stay ITB if money and time wasn't an issue
>>109642349You say this to everyone, it has no meaning.
>>109642396you're objectively in the wrong, fuckface, you might think you have a cute little hustle but you don't even make more than some post-menopausal accountant lady or whoever the fuck, you will never be top tier successful because you're literally a fucking brainlet with a physically small frontal lobe
>>109642410I haven't told you any figures, you are just guessing, implying and assuming.
>>109642416you're too much of a retard to deal with objective facts that have nothing to do with how much you make, there are plenty of crooks and nepos with ill-gotten gains, your music sucks regardless, you stupid fucking lead poisoned boomer, like this rapper "russ" made $100 million according to a youtube title and he self-produced at least his first albums but he's still a fucking retard
>>109642433You haven't said a single objective fact, though.
>>109642438you're delusional, you have no basic understanding of music, you're probably the same anon who was bawwing in /prod/ the other day about how basic audio engineering facts were supposedly gatekept just because you couldn't be immediately spoonfed, you think you're being smart pretending you're a different anon but it's mainly you in particular who has been a nuisance for years and you're not good at hiding it, even if you're a millionaire (you've mentioned having almost $1.5M previously), it's not impressive by itself for a fucking retirement age boomer, and you don't have much imagination about what to do with the money besides covering your living expenses so you can spend more time making hobby-level music
>>109642462No, I'm not that anon.
>>109642469you're psycho_monkey then, your mixes suck lmfao and most gearspace users are glazing it you because of your mod status more than anything else, but most of them are amateurish too so they can't properly judge songs, they were hating on the weeknd - blinding lights even though it was produced and mixed by hecking max martin and serban ghenea
>>109642476No, I have no idea who you're referring to.
you said>relying on AI to do the thinking for youyou're really not good at hiding it
>>109642489/dmp/ has fell off page 10 countless times and now all of a sudden you're insinuating you're some big time producer/mixer despite putting in "the lowest effort" with plugin slop, who do you think you're fooling
>>109642510/dmp/ being a waste of time is not my problem.
>>109642536you're a time-wasting larper, at least in current year it's not really a thing to become successful with "the lowest effort" unless you're a full-blown nepo, it's just stupid to put in less effort than what you're capable off, like you think you're worth a certain amount so you don't put in effort beyond a certain level, you don't have sincere passion for what you're doing
>>109642589Work smarter, not harder.
>>109642594i'm literally a genius and you're stupid fucking dunning-kruger dipshits, you're like in the mariana trench of how stupid a person could be without being a vegetable in a hospital bed or in a mental institution, any of the truly top tier successful people worked hard over a long period of time, you're just an opportunistic low-life scammer who takes a few clients here, like a fucking rat, like a gypsy pickpocketing thief, you're not seeing the forest for the trees, you would burn the trees down and sell the charcoal
ltierally you're so god damn stupid and lazy that you think it's too much effort to use your brain, you take pride in hustling a few clients here and there without straining your precious tiny little brain
>>109642639That's not what >>109642594 means.
>>109642675you're delusional, you're not working smart, if you were smart you would put in whatever it takes to get outstanding results so that you can get more work with higher profile and better paying clients in the future, you don't have the understanding of what sounds good and what you can do to make your music sound better
>>109642712You have no idea what I am or aren't doing.
>>109642746you're literally larper, even if you're not larping, your shooting yourself in the foot with your utter idiocy, you will never win grammy's etc, you have absolutely shown enough to reveal that you lack the most basic instincts about what makes music successful, you might fool some artists and A&Rs but you won't make it to the highest levels
>>109642749Seems like you have exhausted yourself now, so we'll call it a day. I will go back to my work, making good money, and you will go back to lurking here all day, making nothing.
>>109642777nice larp bro, go back to your wage cage
at least serban ghenea makes adequate mixes that don't ruin the song, even if it's not the top tier perfection that cargo cultists rave about, but songs like >>109640871 literally sound like AI slop, you're fucking delusional, you're making the world a worse place to live in just so you can make your low effort "working smart" profits
hmm remixing again
reminder he once larped as a manic person who really wanted to know what gear i think he should buy because i'm of the opinion that owning your own gear is more worth it (if you know what to do with it) than renting studio time by the hour. so i trolled him with this:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CsrTR2zuk4sthen he said he had to leave for work and then shortly after an anon who was totally not a samefag announced himself as "i am the boomer". you can't make this shit up.meanwhile /dmp/ anons have mostly had loser cope opinions about how music isn't profitable, you should do it for fun, for artistic expression and not money. so he might feel validated that his music isn't totally worthless by making several hundred dollars off of it. but i mean are you going to have a huge ego about it when any normal human being could get a job as a mcdonald's burger flipper and make that in a week. it's not really believable that he has had hundreds of valuable clients, legit artists who are signed to a label and such when his career wasn't in music and he's perma stuck at a novice level in terms of music production and audio engineering.
when i die im gonna have my estate bill chuzo for all the time wasted reading his nonsense
Bought a pair of used Yamaha HS8 and the guy sent me the HS80M (the previous model). I should have sensed I was getting scammed because the price was too good compared to the average price of all the other insertions...
>>109647425you are really stupid if you don't think there is anything wrong with the mix of me despido compared to despacito. your whole life is nonsense. larping as a music producer when you don't have the most basic music taste. most normies, who have no in-depth education in music, will tend to listen to despacito on repeat but no me despido. gee, i wonder why. your eternal cluelessness is why you will never be big and successful in this game.
>>109648030that's 20 bucks, keep it coming
album submissiontitle: 1kZuk5QL7mTXhttps://files.catbox.moe/3sg2vt.flacstem separation used to grab the original bass track for "bass" track, while "new bass" is my own playing. i had a vocal melody line written and some guitar parts but it cluttered the vibe a bit and i am happy with it as is.
im gonna remix 320x200
