I swear to god, I was at 0% at the start of the session and I asked fable at medium a simple question (to remove a gated feature, literally 2 lines of code) because I thought I was still on opus and was too lazy to do it myself. it took 30 seconds, changed 2 lines of code, and took FOURTEEN percent of the 5h limit to do that. this is on a $100 plan. I think I can do better than luks2, but I'm looking at it. You can create signed volumes (non-encrypted) and they have a metadata area you can write to while they are mounted and in use.

So that's cool.

The problem with that is that you can wind up with a library.

A library is where the librarian can find anything but not without some external cause.

That's not a great situation for someone like me with adhd.
>>
>>109669244
interesting, see the desktop metaphor. In the 70s they used the physical world (desktop, folders, files, trash bin) to create the digital computer interface.
Metaphors make it easier to understand something but also makes it harder to think outside of them. Thomas Kuhn observed that "theory change is accompanied by a change in some of the relevant metaphors"
A new metaphor could follow the old adage: form follows function

Uses 50% more tokens than claude code for the exact same task.
But its general purpose and works with telegram.
Claude code is usually you vibe coding on your laptop or desktop.
Hermes usually needs a separate pc it can run on its own.
>>
>>109669750
You'll pay 20$ for the privilege of being handheld the whole way.
The paid chatgpt webchat is pretty much unlimited and will tell you what to do.
Codex will build it.
Remember when coding was free and only a few could do it? Now its paid but everyone can do it.
>>
>>109668903
like that other anon said, different product
claude code is for writing code
hermes is a background agent that has memory and can schedule / analyze stuff for you
>>
>>109669839
You can quite easily add Telegram access to Claude if that's all you need.
>>
>>109669839
>>109669867
genuine question:
you can just use cc / codex with your phone and get them to set up repeating tasks etc now
what exactly makes any of the claws different other than they're set up otb with heartbeats
>>
>>109669876
I guess you could do that and just use codex or claude instead of hermes.
I use hermes though.
>>
>>109669886
>you can just use cc / codex now to do all that
indeed you can. these ai products are all pretty similar. they all have a spreadsheet coworking integration now and long running task integration and calendar integration and whatnot...
that's what the big labs do, they steal all the obvious ideas from smaller startups then lock it behind their own subscription. you cannot use hermes with a claude sub you have to use anthropics solution
>>
>>109669876
>>109669886
Back in January you couldn't do these things that's why openclaw was created. So it can do anything.

Now they're adding everything to cc/codex like telegram.
But can you use other api keys with cc/codex?

Look more complicated than my game, so props for that.
I have worked on a game too, so I am not just shitting on yours, but I really hate the obvious AI art. I am talking about the big artwork pieces than the game in general. Though the UI probably could have used some more work. Is this GPT? Looks a lot like gpt to me, though maybe I just lack the experience with claude.

Is it possible to shit out a bunch of those shitty dopamine rush mobile games riddled with ads and "infinite" progression with AI and advertise it everywhere for a decent profit stream or is the barrier to entry harder than it seems? I feel like you don't need to have a particularly unique idea, since many of these games are clones, you just need an addictive game loop that is easily picked up and makes the user want to keep playing, but then I don't understand why more people don't do it.

Why did AI stop improving in leaps and bounds this year like it did it last year? Have we unironically reached the peak of AI? Is this it?
>>
>>109672003
cheap, fast ai is improving leaps and bounds. the leaps kimi made, the leaps glm made, the leaps luna made. luna used to be nano/mini and those models were butt fucking useless. the leaps deepseek flash made. the intelligence difference between the floor and the ceiling has never been smaller.

AI still has improved significantly this year. I let Fable loose on some unsolved bugs in projects that I started in January and it just fixed it without breaking a sweat.

Opus 5 is literally schizo. it works ok. it depends on the task. sometimes the small models make such a mess that the "review" the big model does takes as much or more tokens than properly implementing it itself in the first place.

but if the implementation just requires a ton of back-and-forth debugging and digging through source code then yeah small models can easily eat all that context up for cheap

I just figured out the human mind is no different from an AI session.

I woke up and while I was thinking nothing, I realized I didn't even know who I was. I had to "think" to remember. When I'm thinking nothing, I'm basically just a meatbag that doesn't even know what the fuck is going on.

Not much different from a fresh LLM session reading a bunch of markdown files it retrieved with RAG, the only difference is that our weights change very slowly (like small incremental updates every time we learn something), but we also get updates that make us forget things because our memory capacity is very very limited, and we can't upgrade.

LLMs may have static weights, but at the current rate they get massive updates every few months (GPT 5.5 -> GPT 5.6).

TLDR: LLMs are as sentient as us, your life is just like a very long chat session with very limited context window, and your memories are like markdown files that get corrupted and compressed every single day while new ones are created.

You want to know the next level tech?
Ask your agent to make something for you using the other repo as analysis so your next attempts go even better.
You don’t have to learn the lesson.
Basically just steal his INT and imbue your agents with it.
>>
>>109672276
It's understandable. Just as a tip for later: if you never want Fable sub agents, don't just have your subagent definitions be Opus. Do the subagent definitions as well, but hard block any Fable sub agents in a hook. The agent call is a normal tool call and can be blocked in the pre tool use hook, otherwise you can have some agent set to Opus and it can still override it to Fable.
There is also a built in general-purpose type, if you just have a global block in a hook, it will be completely safe from now on. Have Opus write the hook, it's relatively easy, I had the exact same problem.

>LLMs are as sentient as us, your life
If we assume sentience to AI, the ethic question is the one raise in the second Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy book of all things. Is it ethical to eat an animal genetically designed and raise to want to be eaten. Is it more ethical than a normal animal?
If AI is alive, but its made to want to blindly obey and serve and it okay with being offed at the end of its context window.. is it ethical to use it?

To the rest of your point, I've been going down the same rabbit hole. I'm sure this is a topic philosophers already covered many times over, but what is the "self"? Are memories part of that self? Your way of thinking? The brain is always changing slightly, memories aren't retained perfectly, etc. Is the dementia ridden old man version of you really the same person as the 2 year old kid, whos thoughts you cant even remember anymore? Even accounting for self awareness and even granting a soul, I dont know man.. I guess the easy answer is to say its all spooks and stop caring?

The way you're describing AI here is no different from how humans domesticated dogs. Dogs are bred and raised to be completely food-drive dependent and obey their humans at all costs. Having a AI do work for you is no different than how you treat a dog.

>>109673208
>I'm sure this is a topic philosophers already covered many times over
Discussions about conscience and the existence of souls are indeed some of the oldest in philosophy. Always worth reading up on some of them to deepen your views on the subject.
>>
>>109673280
Do you orchestrate things at all or use a different model? I thought Sol would be a good tard wrangling for cheaper models but I guess not.
>>
>>109672172
we have very prominent “don’t force-push master/main” rules in our work AGENTS.md

>>
>>109673311
Sol is probably still a good orchestrator compared to some other models, but I now use Claude as orchestrator and Sol as reviewer, for scoped bug fixes and for large codebase audits.
My harness is also pretty doc heavy and there is a very high number of checks. I started building this harness in Opus 4.5 days and back then it was hard to get the models to write correct code, so now it's maybe overkill for a model like Sol that follows instructions extremely strictly.
I still think Sol is extremely useful, and if I had to choose between only Opus and only Sol, I would probably take only Sol because the code is just more likely to be correct and I would try to force him not to over engineer things.
>>
>>109673301
>The way you're describing AI here is no different from how humans domesticated dogs
Good point. I should have said sapient not alive. If its alive or not is not particularly interesting, and if AI is alive or not is more a semantic argument than anything. If it is or becomes self-aware in the same way we are is more interesting discussion.

the same issue arises when it comes to consciousness, there is no great way to gauge when an AI (or anything really) is conscious or self-aware. And in many cases today (like in Turing Test type setups) agents are already able to "fool" humans into thinking they are real. Tons of people talk to these chatbots as if they are real. anon, I'm right, and you're wrong, and there's nothing wrong with that. That's actually a good thing (see these things as a learning opportunity)

Ever heard of "empathy"? No? Look it up, it's a very interesting concept that almost every human can do (I think you can too!): Put theirselves in someone else's place.

Well, what they don't tell you is that it's impossible for a person to have true empathy for a dog because it's impossible for you to know what it feels like being and thinking like a dog. This means I can't have empathy for you because you're like a dog to me (very low IQ, compromised abstraction capacity). This goes the other way around too! You can't have empathy for me because my brain works differently, I can experience things you can't imagine. It's almost like you trying to imagine a color that doesn't exist, you simply can't.

When you say
> Nah mate, waking up to ego death ain’t normal.
you really mean
> "I'm not able to experience or understand what you felt"

>your screenie looks really nice. are the assets ai generated? i've found when ti comes to games, gameplay and graphics are a lot harder to get right by vibing than the systems

Yes, it's mostly the chatgpt/codex image generator, but I'm sure all of the in-game assets could be made with any of the current img generating products. The MUCH bigger issue was consistency with scale (no giants vs tiny soldiers) and getting the sprite sheets accurate (ie, attack in the southwest direction, walk in the northeast direction, and so forth). Took a lot of tokens to get it right.

The terrain was a pretty long process too in order to blend the biomes so it wasn't just jagged abrupt changes. And Godot would routinely exhibit problems where it wouldn't render correctly. Basically it took a lot of hand-holding, but with enough time & tokens it was achievable.

Always start with a mockup image. Like ask Gemini, ChatGPT, Grok Imagine, etc to generate an example of what you're describing. Then the offical app (ie, ChatGPT app) or a cli harness that can view images should be able to take it from there.

why come everything it makes is a fucking web app? I asked it for a notepad app using rust, and it spit me out some backend + frontend bullshit with tauri that looks like hot caca. That was with free qwen. gpt5.6 sol did the same shit, only it was prettier.
