thank you for the links, I wasn't aware that so many dacs already support peq. I might try the Truthear Keyx for my Hexas.

/iemg/ Dogma Check
Tired of the hivemind? Here’s your prescribed sanity dose:

>Crinacle is not your priest.
Rankings are a guide, not divine scripture. Your ears > his spreadsheet.

>Harman and JM-1 ≠ perfect.
It’s a preference curve, not a law of physics. Some genres need deviation.

>Chi-Fi isn’t magic.
Great value, yes. Immune to QC issues and hype cycles? Nope.

>Graphs are not sound.
They don’t show staging, dynamics, or fit. Use your ears, not just squigs.

>BA ≠ metallic, DD ≠ perfect.
Implementation matters more than driver type. Always has.

>Meme sets aren’t the whole hobby.
If it’s not shilled 24/7, it might still be good. It's highly encouraged to form an original opinion.

>Disagreeing ≠ cope or deaf.
Let people like what they like without foaming at the mouth.

>Loud posts =/= smart takes.
Confidence without experience is just noise. Show graphs, impressions, or both.

>Cognitive dissonance.
When you're presented with a truth that threatens your entire perception of the world around you, your brain will simply refuse to process it.

This has been your scheduled break from pos groupthink.

Anyone has experience with those or similar products? Are they good/comfy? Which of them is the best?

good means it has reviews showing it's linear, has low output impedance, has no major issues, is durable, and is power efficient.

>asmr in music
>>
it was 50 bucks after coins + coupons + elite discount. dont even care if it sounds like shit (it doesnt. maybe a bit lacking on sub bass rumble, sure, but it isnt anaemic on the low end and detail retrieval is decent).

does youtube/spotify compression or low bitrates in general ever affect spatial cues?
>>
>>109705500

Not at all a problem if you don't live in SEA countries
>>
>>109706866
If we include separation as part of spatial cues, to my ears it does, listen to music on standard youtube then compare with high quality on spotify, don't even need to go lossless. Poor mixes sound ok on spotify and really shit on youtube.
>>
>>109707710
it's not a humid zone but some of my cables developed the infamous green gunk
>>
Okay so i tested my JadeAudio KA13 with my phone and it works as advertised.
then I realized that it's my PC itself that is causing the crackling/distorted popping sound.
The KA13 basically enhanced it so i can hear it clearly.
now I'm at a lost. I'm planning to buy a USB Hub so I can get more USB ports anyway so if I try it with that and it still makes those sounds, i'm planning to buy the iFi iSilencer+ to see if that works.
>>
>>109707775
if anyone knows how to solve the issue without me spending $59 i'll appreciate
>>
>>109707824
with my dongle, I have it connected to my PC via USB-C extension cable and when the cable moves, it does the crackling thing too. I am almost full certain it's the PC doing it since I used to use my same dongle connected to my phone during my daily commute to and from work with 0 issues.
If I had to wager, I would say it's your PC. For context, my dongle is a Fosi DS2

>>
>>109703727
i'd get the guo jia, but zhang liao is too expensive and i dont want a skip in the collection.
>>
>>109707775
its something with power thats get transmited thru cable into dongle and its so loud that gets thru shielding into analog signal (it doesnt need much, i was thinking i fucked my planar headpos and all it was interference from smartphone laying near cable). If same happen with other cables and other usb ports and dongle plugged to another pc/laptop work as intended fault is on your pc side and its grounding and amount of electrical noise it produces. I had same issue when i was playing games, power draw for graphics card overloaded usb cable to dongle and sound glitched out. Some DACs and even dongles (usually on more expensive side) have 2 usb ports, one for power, one for data (sometimes they even have power lines cut off) so u can split that signal and dont have that problem. I dont know if u can do something about it other than buying bigger desktop DAC/AMP that have socket for power supply and usb in for data
>>
wish people would stop regretting their pos purchases and selling them for fractions of what they go for. i cant help myself sometimes when i see a 500 dollar pos for a hundred.

>>
>>109708213
that's where the thing I'm gonna buy comes in. Apparently, iFi iDefender+ can stop ground looping and it also has a USB-C to plug in an external power source. so I'll buy it and test it out.
>>109708080
I connected it to every available USB port including the USB 2.0 ports. I still get the noise.
my room has carpet and the PC is on it. and it's near a wall socket because that's the only place in my room I can run a PC. that's how my PC is set up

do i just get 7hz zero 2/ moondrop chu or its worth it to spend 20 euros more

Get OP.22 if you're willing to spend extra now or wait for Zero 3

Crin explaining why moondrop is clueless lol (chipping and oxidation issues still aren't fixed btw)
>>
>>109709696
+1 for zero 3 waiting
currently additionally to chu2/zero1/2 you can get waners 2 wanres 2 red lion for more bass, gate for shallower fit and more harman/v-shape tuning (and great eartips and cables that mog everything) or bunny DSP for neutral-ish tuning and DSP functionality
>>
Also spending $20 euros more won't really get you anywhere. Next bracket would be around $100 for truthear pure with more neutral warm tuning and newly releasing crinear nightfall for bass boosted jm-1 tuning.
>>
ok thanks so much i will be waiting for zeros

>>109710671
No. Different materials mean different techs. Read about the measurement problem and the uncertainty principle, and you'll understand why and how things in superposition collapse into a single definite state upon observation. If you try to measure the techs, the techs collapse.

so you're telling me all this time cheap dd pos COULD do deep bass and tonality properly out of the box?

the cups go over the ears pretty easily for me, gives a pretty good seal too since it's snug (ear is around 5cm from top to bottom)
the akg k7xx and fidelio x2 pads feel very roomy in comparison

pretty impressive sub bass for suede/velour pads
no clamp of death like the m50s
also works with vmoda boompro that I used to use with the x2s

>>109709036
ksc75s are the way to go, they beat most mid end $500 pos without EQ
