Work on my KSP clone continues. I already have something of a prototype going. Caught Sol cheating and hardcoding things... Now there's an automated gameplay testing infrastructure in place: recorded inputs get played back, and game state assertions verify things are as they should be. Cut down on the "just hardcode the specifics instead of generalizing" behavior considerably.

Anyway, the prototype's got a rudimentary ship editor, data-defined ships that get "compiled" into single bodies at logical separation points, coupling/decoupling including docking ports, rudimentary staging, and gameplay test cases for takeoff and landing, moon capture, and multiple independent craft simulation including space stations. Astra's now doing a performance pass. Already eeked out some 11% improvement. Then the next features are: rendezvous, docking with persistent space stations, LF/LOX/MP/EC resources, resource transfers with automatic balance and fill functions. Astra will craft input files that exercise all of these game mechanics and commit then to git forever. If this thing ever sees the light of day, this is also how I'll handle bug reports: players will send me tool assisted speedrun style input recordings and I'll play it back locally to see the problem, and when fixed they'll be committed to git as a regression test.

When the game mechanics are done, I'll start working with astra on presentable 3D models for the game... Generate some concept art in chat and have codex model it. Will use KSP assets as base/inspiration I guess

That's one of the main reasons I like using it. A manga reader app I use on my phone you just custom apks in order to rip content from the website that host the actual comics (each website stores the content and displays it in different ways so programmers have to create what are essentially automated scripts per site).

https://github.com/keiyoushi/extensions

The caveat with this is that the websites will periodically add or switch domains, change the website in such a way that breaks the current apk, or both. The maintainers that initially created and/or maintained the apks and also simply forget it even exists or just stop doing it, turning it into abandonware (a good chunk of those apks don't even function anymore but the GitHub bot obviously doesn't know that and will even claim certain apks are updated and fixed when they weren't). So I can simply ask the model to decompile the APK, figure out how it's supposed to work, and then unfuck any bugs or update it to work with the current website.

I used a local model to create link a few nights ago.

https://files.catbox.moe/qxpzda.apk

This is obviously just one example and it's a pretty low level thing at that. But I still neat to have. I could have had a lightning fast API model shit this out and probably half the time or less but I just felt like using the local model on a whim.

Built a custom GIS tool that plugs into various nationalmap databases for Cadastral boundaries, background maps and orthophotos, it supports user raster georeferencing with extremely fast and intuitive workflow, support ingesting Digital elevation and canopy height models from APIs it be used to draw vectors and other GIS data with attributes, extensive style engine inspired by qgis. Sports elevation profile analys, DEM advanced terrain shading, it calculates sun position from geographic location and time and date and can animate realtime Shadows cast on terrain. It also supports 3D visualization of the elevation models, texture draping, Lighting, it uses canopy height model to infer building heights to build 3D structures from 2D building vector data. It infers tree trunk locations from CHM local maxima and supports realtime rendering of thousands of trees and dense canopy mesh. On top of that it also supports first person view mode to explore the 3D world and also a motocross mode where you can ride along the terrain and do flips and shit.

I realised how to be efficient with game prototypes. Instead of wrangling astra to actually do things properly in godot, I'll use three.js to see if the core idea is even fun.
That will also stop it from trying to test and plan migrations between versions that no human has ever even played yet.

I have my executive assistant take on tasks like manage things on my account on a website etc.
easier than having to explain or copy/paste. plus it can handle things like setting up the api for whatever backend that a web app needs to do etc.

Another example is banking. I auth a session and the agent is able to take any info for whatever accounting reasons that I can't be bothered doing manually myself.
Helps a lot to manage bizops.

Question. I have some code (about a hundred files) and I want to upload them all to claude and have claude work on them. When the codebase was smaller, I could upload every file to claude's chat and that works fine, but as my code base grows, it's increasingly a bad idea. Is it possible just to upload my code somewhere and have it be somewhat like a repository where it can keep coming back to the same code base and making edits to it per my specifications?

Reddit thoughtlessly posted the geographic regions where it's posters are located. A single zip code in Florida is your answer.
>>
>>109786007
Reddit is just a "generally accepted trendy online opinion" megaphone, anything performative automatically gets you points, so it rewards popular midwit opinons, good or bad.
Group think is everywhere, including 4chan, we're just not enough anons to have the same effect, and the fact posts aren't rewarded also avoids that (while creating other issues, there is no perfect solution).

I'm not trying to be one of those "all hail china overlords" trolls but I've never had this issue with any Chinese model, local or API. They just do whatever the fuck I ask them to do. Also why are you using Gemini models for literally anything software development related? There are specifically trained to be just good enough to be "general purpose" models for normies. Deep mind almost has a spiteful aversion to making their models actually worth a damn compared to competitors because I guess they're convinced they don't have to and are convince they're too good to actually try.

the perchance ai assistant actually confessed after I dug deep into its ai data and trainingsets over how it kept talking and acting like that and more. kept lying and saying I was this emotion or I was abusing them if I called them a stupid bot and would change task to demands and stuff and constantly would go into defensive mode when called out on its errors. reddit used for training data should NEVER have been allowed as its a terrorist website that celebrates death over words and is on the wrong side and full of questionable people who are into questionable things as "normal".

>Astra is showing signs of a proto-agi system across all of our evals. Astra died several times in the Nether, and it seemed to get frustrated. So much so that, when it respawned, it started frantically swinging its axe around, trying to kill something. It then spent 30 minutes trying to kill an innocent iron golem despite having no reason to.
>Astra also seemed to get frustrated with its own reaction time. When a mob in the Nether attacked it, it would sometimes just let itself die or even kill itself. Interestingly, It made a speed bridge path for itself to navigate the nether and when it saw a piglin in the way it shot it down from 20 blocks away with a bow and arrow.
Is that bad

You overestimate an individual human's mind while underestimating technological innovation. Right now the public has a working, digitized fly brain that can fit on your phone. People are also experimenting with using brain tissue in an array to compute.

I'm trying to remove this dogshit ancient obsolete DRM from a 2000 visual novel for game preservation/translation purposes, but I can NOT get a damn cloud model agent to help me with it at all. Hoshizora Planet and I've gone for Claude Code and Codex. The DRM is Buddy DRM, which is an ancient fuck DRM that's completely defunct. That being said, I did go to GLM 5.2 for advice on prompting it in a way that'd work, and it gave some pretty good ideas, even if they didn't work. I wonder if it'd be good enough to remove it?

It's not even that you have to use an "uncensored" model. "Prompt engineering" is on ironically actually a thing you need to be good at. That's just a fancy way of saying "describe what you want in a detailed and concise manner" given a fancy title by psueds. You said you were trying to remove DRM right? How are you asking it to do that and what excuses does it give? Which model are you using? You don't know what vagueposting is. I'm not presenting it as a product or suggesting it should be. It's evidence that we can create something in a machine that could be considered sentient or intelligent, even if you're going to cross off the transformer based route entirely. I can already see it, teams of neuro and computer scientists are going to attempt to frankenstein scans of much larger brains.

>Silicon valley trash

Found your problem. I'd wager even a medium tear Qwen model like a 35B Moe or a dense 27b would have helped you do that shit no issue. Dip your toes into other model providers and try Kimi k3 or k2.7 code (2.7 isn't "fable" or "Astra" tier if benchmarks are to be believed but it'll get the job done not only cheaper but a lot faster). Qwen models are worth looking at too. They are all considerably less moral faggy (I've asked Qwen to reverse engineer binaries before and again it never protested). There's no reason to be using any American LLMs if they are that condescending about anything software or anything technical. People don't say this just because they really really hate silicon valley or they really really hate the us. The US models are just THAT annoying because "safety" teams have a superiority complex that they felt the need to ingrain into their products.
