Putting a lot of effort into this so that dumping $50+ per month doesn't feel like a waste.
>>109844157that sounds pretty cool to make happenmight as well buy a VR headset too so you can experience it in bed for maximum comfy
Where the best place to get llm keys in a broke ass
>>109844169Wouldn't that make me super dizzy? Besides, it's a classic roguelike. Pic related. How am I going to type? I mean I guess I could do speech to text but ehh. I like writing on my own. It'd be simpler to just get a casting monitor on my bed and wireless kb&m. I already have the latter. But it does sound super comfy.Guess I could eventually pay out of my ass for Fable and Astra to vibeslop a VR first person dungeon crawler with LLM integration but that'd take months, I'd have to read big chunks of code and retouch models. But it's not a bad idea. Maybe next year.
>>109844157Vibeslopping myself something similar right now. Rip off of ORB but better. I just ripped assets from an existing eroge. Want to make a visual novel that is basically alive. Add in more characters eventually, multi agentic. Its gonna cost just to run the thing but its interesting. Already have an existing multi-agentic frame work I call SCAIL but it was text based only. Basically simulate the background life of our agents and then they interact with each other and the player. Conversations would feel natural and real because it wasn't focused on a single target (player) and instead their friend group has their own worries problems and drama. Ended up with something stupid like 70 different model roles so I just tore it down and started over with this visual novel approach. Just trying a single character. She lives on my pc and has full telemetry. She can naturally talk about my browsing data and comment on whats on my screen. I have to initiate, but that is a setting because I wanted to preserve the vn experience "A vn does not advance without the player". My goal now is completing importation of other characters and building the world for them to interact with each other in.
>>109844201neat>Wouldn't that make me super dizzy?hmmmm, maybe not VR thenmaybe those "extended reality" sunglasses that basically project a virtual monitor in front of your face
>>109844157>>109844221>Summaryception and copilotIs there a way to make a "setting" where you throw various cards and they interact seamlessly with each other and the user?Like, a school setting of a city where you drop the students card in there and it works on it own, or a fantasy guild setting where you put the cards of the adventurers, and so on...?
>>109844256Idk, I think this concept is kind of being vibeslopped by lots of different people right now. I would say *no* in the respect that you can find something that is exactly ready made because these are alternative frontends and the existing sillytavern is semi abandoned. Less open than your idea, much simpler and more oriented towards narrative play but I don't need more. What I've been trying to come up with is a way to integrate LLM roleplay into solo tabletop RPG play. No, I don't mean integrate TTRPG rules into bot cards. Well, maybe one that uses Mythic GME. His attack order is the same if you don't spend any turns healing, so you can memorize what he does. There's a break in the middle of the fight where you can heal for free, so it's easiest if you try to get there without healing, heal to full and go as long as you can without healing after so you can get through it in as few turns as possible

GPT and Grok still suck. Gemini Pro and DS are still okay; avoid Gemini Flash.Models are too smart now. I can't watch a TV show or movie without jumping into the world in an RP afterwards. It's too easy because now you don't even usually have to make a card, the models just get it.
>>109848842Shit ain't dead but is slow. No new model since R1 has been groundbreaking for rp but you can make stuff more fun with cheap visual understanding of V4.1 and some kind of "agentic" rewriting and rechecking. Attentionwhores, shitposters, and spammers moved to /vg/.

>>109852863Saying that Gemini works is technically correct but it keeps getting worse and worse. Nowadays I feel lucky if I get a single response in an hour, it's mostly the too many requests error happening so I stopped using the model.
i mainly use gemini 3.1 but for RP it's okay but generally for creative work It can work well with it's large training data and knowledge base but I just find the model has such horrid hallucination and looping problems. I guess for RP it's better but I don't even use it for agentic or coding just mostly brain storming or fleshing out lore.It struggles to be creative and help me unlike Claude. I genuinely cannot understand why this model is so defective, I have such an love hate relationship with this thing. Hope it's an skill issue on my part rather an model issue.
>>109852306Claude models are more censored on surplus from my testing.
>>109852556I've been testing it too. Most ERP works but it blocks harder stuff like unny and slurs. The stuff that gets through is quite good though so I'll definitely use it for milder things.
Man, I knew the openrouter bug where you sometimes didn't get charged for streams that you cut off early was saving me some money, but I didn't realize just how much it was saving me until they fixed it
>>109853044I use 3.1 for recapping/summarizing, Gemini models are just great at that. For RP I still sometimes use 2.5 Pro just because it's so full of Haterade. I'm going to miss it.

>>109853149Yeah, it seems LinkAPI uses less restrictive sources for some of their Claude models, though it can vary. Some days 4.6 works with simple prefills and such, some days it has to be 4.7, etc.

>>1098531545.3 abliterated has better writing than 5.2 IMO but it's not a breathtaking difference. Gemma 4 is more unhinged which is fun. K3 with plugin also is a little crazier in a good way. Gemini 3.1 with prefill isn't as good dialog-wise as GLM but it is smarter.
>requests ending with a model turn are not supportedWas gonna try 3.8 but OR is giving me this error
>>109853380No prefill. I came here to complain about that, and the fact that I just got a refusal. I guess it only likes vanilla sex. So fucking weird because I'd been doing raunchy sex for 15 turns but then it switches to gangbang and starts refusing. So bizarre. I was enjoying it too, way more lewd than Opus.
>>109853399Yeah I just changed my last response around and it goes through now. I doubt this model will do cunny. Very sad.
>>109853399Dunno what the other guy was talking about but turning the prefill on and off was the first thing I tried, the error persists without it.
>>109853423then you have probably a low depth assi message somewhere.check authors note, lorebooks and see if the card has a assi override phi
How the hell am I getting constant refusals with GLM 5.3 but K3 hasn't given me a single refusal
how the hell does anyone keep their presets organized when you need to do per-model edits
>>109853431No, everything is empty. Not sure what it is, honestly. It's okay, I'll go back to ds flash for the time being.
>>109853439Are you using K3 with the partial prefill plugin? That plugin doesn't work with GLM 5.3.
>>109853442Either lock presets to connection profiles so you have presets like "Preset - GLM", "Preset - Gemini" that auto switch to the proper model or keep one preset with several alt toggles for each model. I personally prefer the former because it's very easy to forget to switch all the toggles, but easy to remember to switch the preset.
>>109853439>>109853455k3 Isn't working for me even with the rentry guide, the other ST version with moonshot plugin checkmarked. It reads through the <think> prefill and refuses

They only need GLM 4.7, 5.2, K3. So, for one week, provide them with the original models as they requested. Then, gradually and secretly forward their requests to the cheaper, smaller models.
>>109854730And this is the exact reason why I won't
>>109851448For real. I do want to coom but I'm so used to V4 pro's dumb format, prose and method of advancing the plot that I keep swiping without even being satisfied anymore. The ridiculous hoops people have jumped through just for days to weeks of access to a shitty model that's logged, prompt injected, and otherwise compromised is fucking absurd. It's not comparable to torrenting for vidya or movies because you literally get a better quality product for free. You feel retarded for paying because you're getting a good deal by pirating. Here, you're getting ripped off or fucked in the ass. Some retards even used to pay others for proxies and would get rugpulled. >>109841638https://youtu.be/XQNhCU17ipM?is=T0rIg3FjynBJILHi>0:52 - "At their core, [LLMs] are a blackbox. Information goes in, information comes out. What happened to it in the middle? Not a clue. " - Colin Kealty - Red Hat Senior Machine Learning Engineer>7:21 - "...Nobody fully knows what's going on inside these things..." Full disclosure I am nowhere near an expert on how LLMs work. The closest thing I've done to fine-tuning is taking a bunch of stories from AO3 and training a small model to be more willing to write nsfw smut (the first tricost severe brain damage on basically every other domain. Taking that same data set and using it to create a new one with a mix of regular training data and then training the model again resulted in far less brain damage but just like abliteration, there's always going to be SOME degradation). What do people mean when they say they are a black box and that they don't understand what's going on? My understanding is that these things work because they take what is effectively the entire internet's information (most of it in English), create a giant statistical representation of the data, and then have it autocomplete sentences. You then do supervised fine tuning (or instruct tuning, however you want to call it) to make the model actually useful for doing tasks, hence there being "base" and "instruct" variants of models. Pretty much all released models, open or not, pretty much HAVE to be instruct tunes trained on a large amount of hypothetical conversations or else they would either just try to complete your sentences or respond with nonsensical answers. Anyone who has used a shitty base model back in the early days of LLMs (by early days I mean 2022 through 2023 ish) or anyone that has used the model with an incorrectly configured chat template already knows this.
>>109859176Again, I am not an expert, I don't even want to remotely give the impression that I think I am. I know how to get them running on my own machine or in a Cloud server if need be and if I want to I can train them on custom human written data in order to be more likely to write "problematic" stories/roleplay with success and can even do so without TOO much brain damage with a properly curated data set, or I can simply connect to model providers with suitably "intelligent" and capable models in order to analyze software and diagnose bugs in order to potentially fix them or tell me what I'm fucking up when using them, but that's basically it. So my question is is it actually true that we literally have no clue whatsoever how these work or is it just a generic throwaway line journalists like to use? At the end of the day these things are very complicated math equations so a kind of irks me when people hand wavingly say "yeah it's like a black box and it's like dark magic and shiet bra we don't know how it works even though laps routinely reproduce each other's work and distill off of each other constantly and can also train their own from scratch if need be". I don't want to sound like some know-it-all because truth be told I probably don't know that much more than than Collin, but whenever people say "it's a black box" I feel like that's on the same level as "it's just lossy compression of the internet" or "stable diffusion models just stitched together existing art to create slop" when the former is a massive oversimplification and the latter is just flat-out wrong. Can anyone ITT who's more knowledgeable than me explain the " black box" explanation?

>>109859296which one?
>>109859208kinda, or more accurately "Yes, but..."tl;dr, the training produces a web of relationships between nodes that translates inputs into outputs, but the way the actual relationships relates to the work done is very poorly understood at best. How does the model know what a dog is? It can recognize one in a picture and if you ask it to write a poem about a dog it knows to use "woof" and "fetch" and shit and will evoke concepts like playful or loyal, where if you ask it to write a poem about a cat it will say "meow" and "purr" and evoke aloofness or feline grace or whatever, but how the fuck does a bunch of random seemingly contextless nodes and connection strengths encode all that? We didn't give them dog and cat nodes when setting the model up or anything, the training builds all these relationships up on its own and we have very little idea how or why any specific concepts end up getting represented in the neural net, beyond "that's what training does."https://www.astralcodexten.com/p/god-help-us-lets-try-to-learn-about is a neat article about trying to figure that out.

>>109859356>but how the fuck does a bunch of random seemingly contextless nodes and connection strengths encode all that? Because they pre-trained on "the entire internet", duh? If you pre-train on an ungodly amount of information they're going to have a lot of instances of articles or written stories that happen to be describing what a dog is or what a dog did or what a dog does. Same for cats. It "knows" that a dog barks because in the terabytes of information, enough instances of "woof" and "dog" were close together in the information that the model statistically knows "woof probably has something to do with dogs" and "meow" probably has something to do with cats" because when people write about those things, they typically incorporate those specific concepts. We made a statistical model of what is essentially the entire English language so of course if you then use that to essentially create an autocomplete program but on crack, it's going to be able to emulate logic and intelligence even though it doesn't actually have that. My explanation is of course very crude and nowhere near as detailed as it probably needs to be but that's the gist of it. The pre-training (not sft / fine-tuning / RLHF, those are different things) is what ingrains the model's ability to relate certain words to other words and the instruct tuning is what allows them to simulate being able to have a " conversation" with a person.
>>109859472>>109859705>>109859478See >>109860015
>>109860015you're working like 3 levels too shallow for what anon was asking about, or maybe too deep, whateveryes that's what neural nets do in terms of how they're programmed and what the math does while training, no that doesn't mean we have any fucking idea what's actually going on in them at a level that can satisfactorily explain where and how it stores and accesses the concepts that it becomes able to correctly use in a huge variety of complex and variable circumstances and contexts. That's what people are talking about when they call LLMs a black box. If we train an LLM on the entire internet it learns what dogs are because there's a lot of info about dogs on the internet, but then if we for example want to remove all of it's knowledge about dogs, we have no idea how to even really start doing that, it builds itself and the web of weights that results is way too complex for any human to actually understand and doesn't map in any seemingly logical way to the concepts it encodes.
