So question How much slower is an HDD, even a performance one like a 7200 RPM, than an SSD? Asking for someone who wants to cheap out on an OS drive and combine OS and storage into one. I haven't used an HDD only computer in so long that I don't remember if it's even that bad if you use performance hardware.

So I bought the Noctua AIO, cause once I heard one exists and that it's supposedly really good, my horniness level for that thing shot through the roof. Yes I'm a Noctua fag, and I'm like the 1% out there who genuinely like their colors, so I don't give a shit about any black edition dogshit.That being said, I was using arctic LF III 420 and of course replaced it with the 420 Noctua thing + additional VRM fan.For 300 billion monetary units, I feel like it's not worth it. I tweaked it to have the same RPM as my old AIO, pump was running roughly the same (though the Noctua one can run a lot faster, but at high speeds it gives off a very annoying hum. On quiet and balanced you wont hear it, dont sperg out you autists).Yes it runs around 2-3 degrees cooler (though that is after replacing 2 year old paste with PTM), yes the whole thing is a bit quieter, but arctic is not known for low noise. But in hindsight, I wouldn't have paid that amount of money for it. I'll keep it inside, because I'm way too fucking lazy and having a replacement AIO with 4 years of warranty left just in case might be good.tl;dr: if you already have an arctic LF III AIO inside or sperg out about brown colors, don't replace it, unless you are fully autistic about the noise and a couple degrees.
