Google isn't good at making software.

Argon is fine, just don't use Google products. They can't be trusted to make anything work.

You're thinking of Opencode Zen, which just requires you to download opencode

This is the correct recommendation though, Muse Spark 1.3 is very generously free on Opencode right now (as of 2 days ago), and it is superior to GLM 5.3 flash. Somewhere between Opus 4.6 and Opus 4.7 in quality so it can absolutely be used for simpler vibecoding tasks like system apps

Google is paying for pr???

Why don't indians ever use Grok 4.7? It's exceptional.

im curious how much code gets rejected when you vibe code. my agent often goes for ambitious ideas to come back with bad results, then deleting the work it did, recording it in docs and git history. i would say that 25% of code is not kept, but im doing weird 3d shit.

My gpu isn't the biggest, so. yeah. Well, it was completing, but it went from 100 seconds / iteration for 1mp with cfg, huen, to 300, after the 30th iteration in an 80 iteration gen. so, I have to fix this, and that means being patient.

the only reason why they wouldn't do it is they simply think on different orders of magnitude, to them 10 million dollars may be a rounding error when they're looking a trillion valuation, but I really think they should keep it

Unpopular opinion: a lot of the recoomping and decoomping isn't that impressive and AI is marginally doing a better job because before AI there was the drive and expertise they just had to walk on eggshells to do it "properly" not to offend the publishers too much or they with their small numbers would get hit instantly and all their work was for naught. It's a mental battle that corporations seemingly lost due to the sheer numbers of people doing small decoomp work until they rearm for battle with lawyers.
>>
>>110063410
I'm not talking about buying stuff here, it's making them pay for a service for more than 1 month. c.ai failed because it was aimed at teenagers/students who don't have any money and women don't feel like they own something they can showcase there, so they won't pay.
>>
>>110063431
ai is so smart that actually you'll get something superior if you ignore the official firmware or whatever.

You should be wary of coming up with a conclusion then rationalizing backwards. You really think people spent decades working on emulators because they were simply lacking in drive to do it properly?

The fact of the matter is that it was slow, grueling, hard work and AI can now do that slow, grueling, hard work very well and quickly. Trying to marginalize this reveals only an ignorance of what's happening. Meanwhile e.g. experienced engine developers are saying Claude Opus 5.5 can output in 2.5 days what would take a team of 10 skilled engineers 1 year to create: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_uf5OfMGio

You're not making a fair comparison here though, is this with or without ability to fork the vast majority of open source libraries that already existed before AI? Most devs have a NIH syndrome so the only difference is that AI did make use of that vast library of knowledge just not crediting them. For a lot of people there would be almost no difference even if you take into account the slop low quality open source libraries, AI isn't a magic thing it also can and will generate buggy code. I just think people don't really do fair comparisons regardless or don't have the knowledge to do so. >TheCherno
Maybe instead of linking YouTubers post some actual experienced devs that didn't just do it for the YouTube clicks.

Those 10 engineers would also have access to those libraries and this is said with that in mind. Nobody, also, said it couldn't make mistakes. Also although he posts to youtube he is a genuine backend developer with enormous evidence to that effect so you shouldn't dismiss him out of hand, he actually put his work out there, as opposed to me linking some random guy's github you could easily choose to ignore.

There's a conflict of interest and YouTubers are even worse than regular non technical vibecoders on aggregate because they will abandon any project even faster for the next video the algorithm told them to make. This guy isn't the generic concept of a youtube, he's an actual person with credentials and solid output, I linked him for a reason. This video is just a frank analysis of the process + output of using AI for that tool which, anyone watching can understand as well. That said, if you want to dismiss such evidence out of hand for being put on youtube it does follow why one would dismiss AI code quality out of hand too.
