Linguistically, only one USP, and lots of idiots too idiotic to use it right. Otherwise incredibly dull and short sighted as a language.
Speed is OK, but not the fastest. Compile speed is reputedly good.
Ecosystem's got a decent range of stuff for writing servers and server-like apps. That's its home turf.
You wouldn't ever use it for embedded work; it's runtime is too chunky and that can't change.
