FAQ:
>How do I activate Windows?
HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
github.com/massgravel/Microsoft-Activation-Scripts
Usage: paste this into Powershell, run.
irm https://get.activated.win | iex

>and Office?
Same link, select Ohook option
You can also use Office.com if your needs are very minimal
or try OnlyOffice/LibreOffice and set it to save in MSOffice file formats

>W11 Enterprise IoT LTSC 2027
Same as 2024 version except:
UI being rewritten in native WinUI
ETA: 2027H2

>Installing apps on LTSC
Use WinGet/Scoop or install MS Store in CMD with: wsreset -i

>>
>>110173555
Run MAS and use its TSforge module to activate commercial ESU. It'll last you until October 2028.
>>
Can't decide between 11 IOT LTSC and regular 11 Pro. Any downside to going regular Pro and just uninstalling all the extra AI bullshit?
>>
>>110174126
You should just use IoT LTSC 2024, then upgrade to 2027 when the times. There's literally no reason to use consumer 11 when you have the tools the thread offers.
>>
>>110174150
It won't fuck with any games or prevent installation of any specific types of programs, etc.?
>>
>>110174165
Shouldn't. Just install aboddi's latest version of the VCRedist AIO pack and install the latest LTS of the .NET desktop runtime (10.x) and most if not all programs should run properly. Also just install your graphic card's latest driver it can use, or remove the one that Windows Update installed with DDU then install it fresh either by default or use something like NVCleanstall or RadeonSoftwareSlimmer.
>>
>>110174240
Very useful information. Thank you, my brother. I haven't built a PC since 2016 so I'm sort of a fish out of water nowadays (or at least a fish having to relearn how to swim).
>>
>>110174248
Yeah it's all even easier then back when. Tools are way more smooth and simple, MAS basically took over all Windows activation scripts for example because it's just too clean and the activations too legit feeling to MS servers/files.

What's wrong with the auto installed one? From what I could tell the one on AMD just werks and by default never comes with any of the bloat
>>
>>110175559
It's different with AMD compared to NVIDIA but you can still trim out even more bloat you don't notice using the software slimmer on a driver installer package before running it.

I also have another one that attempts to compute the bitrate based on the 4chin file size limits and duration, but the resulting video isn't very good with VP9. It's actually better with H.264 and VP8 with this approach.

Just got a new notebook without an operating system. Is MAS still the best method or should I get a windows key for like 30$? I kinda don't want to buy from those random sites.

do you need any of the new features or better hardware support? CS6 perfectly fine for stitching together frog pictures with captions
>>
>>110183292
In my experience, it loads faster and is lighter weight overall, especially for non-pro use (I only use it to make shitposts)
>>
>>110183292
The whole point of it is that ArtCraft is basically trying to be the Creative Cloud suite but open source and made in Rust so it launches fast on everything and basically just feels like Adobe's shit. Basically if you want a Photoshop but don't want to pirate it or use something like Photopea then using Photocraft is honestly pretty good.

psa: fort firewall comes pre-subverted with a rootkit. Ran that new open source rootkit detector and a sloppcoded tool to remove anything it identifies and it raped fortfirewall and prevented it from starting on system restart. The kit is embedded in the driver.

So I take it 26H2 is good enough now, anyone has it on 10+ yo thinkpads?

t. I run a refurb thinkpad store
>>
>>110190586
I put it on a Dell Precision 7760 at the moment. It's alright but some of its structure changed apparently, like if you want to run VMs you need to run Microsoft's DG Readiness Tool to disable the virtualisation security 26H2 automatically put on. It's a hassle for people who ran VMs smoothly before the update and it suddenly decides to lag like hell because it cannot access your computer resources, but I disabled Device Guard and virtualisation security and now it works. If you're not going to run VMs it seems okay otherwise.

>HWID2 generates and registers a permanent legitimate license on MS's activation servers
If I install windows 10, does this create a legit key or activation without buying one? You can't buy them anymore so..
>>
>>110190762
Oh I also started with a Win11 on the Thinkpad P51 with Kaby Lake, but I swapped out the SSD and went dual boot on Win7 and Win10 IoT LTSC instead because Win11 only boots on GPT and Win7 needed MBR. It works just fine but just make sure you install it via Rufus because you need to bypass TPM 2.0 requirement etc.
>>
>>110190781
yes
>>
>>110190781
Yes, it uses a certain generic key to trick MS activation servers into activating any 10 install needed. It'll probably work until IoT LTSC 2021's death in late 2032.

ShareX, changed hotkey and Telegram still knew and automatically minimized the image I had open. Just clicked the Flameshot button directly instead of using a hotkey and same.

>>110192872
10/11's activation stacks (which have been around since Vista) have been completely cracked open for around a year now. Even if you can't activate with HWID, you can always just use the TSforge module's KMS4k module.

I have heavily modified Microsoft Edge using only official policies and tools to configure it—so there’s no Bing, no forced new tab page, no AI bloat, etc. It’s just a clean, simple browser that still benefits from vertical integration.

Should I publish it to GitHub? Everything similar I’ve seen on GitHub is just a collection of raw registry keys, but I want to publish mine with properly deployable reg.pol files and clear-text policies using the LGPO tool.

Defender is gonna see the hash and know it's a pirated copy and say it's got a virus anyway.
