cheap models that use 0 usage, like luna, deepseek, and haiku, are head and shoulders above opus 4.7 right now. and deepseek and haiku might be above opus 4.8 at this point
>>

yes, they've already confirmed haiku 5.5 was better than opus 4.8 at launch. i forgot to save the pic. current deepseek is pretty much toe-to-toe with haiku, but haiku is still much more accurate and precise.
>>
>>110217711
opus 4.8 was practically esl with the prose and had the personality of a donkey, deepseek mogs. never got to use haiku but sonnet once acted pissy because i called it "claude" instead of "claude sonnet 5.5". wanted to old yeller that one

Hello, I am coding an anime/vidya-themed fitness app for myself. Is only frontier models like Opus5.5, Astra and 6.1 Sol capable of coding such complex and large apps? Have you guys tried using local models like Qwen3.8 Flash Next or Deepseek V4.1 Flash to code anything? Are they even capable? They score so low in benchmarks compared to the frontier that I don't wanna trust them with any coding.
>>
>>110217883
benchmarks are measuring super niche edge shit. for your use case, most cheap models are above and beyond what you need. you have no reason to use qwen flash next over deepseek though. deepseek is the king of cheap models. the only other cheap model that matches it is haiku, but haiku isn't worth it unless you're getting it with a claude sub.

What about it makes it "large anf complex"? Sounds from the pitch like a very basic app tracking numbers and displaying graphics. If you want your waifu to yell encouragement, the work is more on your end to provide all the material for the ai to cobble together. Even a local model can easily make the app itself.
>>110217887
Agree with him, if you use a cloud model just use deepseek to tell you what you need and let it do the coding.

is there anything opus 5.5 can't do when it comes to programming? i mean most companies are already using it for 90% of tasks with humans only being there for basic preference guiding and extreme edge cases.

I feel like we'll start seeing a regression soon. companies like anthropic will put so many safety filters in place that it'll effectively neuter the model because they cannot "waterdown" such a powerful model for the average user. in fact, they're already trying to put those systems in place

https://safeguards.anthropic.com/2026/self-assessment/

>Today, we’re introducing self-assessment, a technique that lets Claude provide a safety assessment of its own conversations.
>>
>>110217909
>If you want your waifu to yell encouragement, the work is more on your end to provide all the material for the ai to cobble together
If its already well-known characters, can't the model find the character info and pictures themselves?
>>110217887
But in all the demos I see online, Deepseek and GLM seem to consistently lag behind frontier models by a mile.
>>
>>110217961
yes. they're not as good. but much like opus is overkill for writing an email, opus is overkill for what you're trying to do. i can assure you deepseek is more than enough. it'll save you a lot of money too
>>

>>
>>110217961
>If its already well-known characters, can't the model find the character info and pictures themselves?
Sure, they can use web search so they will find anything that isn't super hard to find. Some models might complain about copyright, though. But generally it's more about specifying what you like, e.g. maybe you like some of your waifu's pictures more than others, or you like her saying some things more than others.
I think you don't have to think about the code, but it's usually better to specify the user facing experience in a bit more detail.
>>
>>110217979
>cyber anything
>security anything in general
>high school chemistry and biology
it can already do those. that's literally the purpose of the Mythos models which the general public does not have access to.

>(new) reverse engineering video games (lmao)
you can still do this on opus 5.5. you just need to not prompt like a retard.
>>
>>110217989
if you need special snowflake permissions then no, the model can't do that
>>
>>110217977
Okay. I heard that you should make your prompt much more specific and etailed for dumber models. Is it true? Or can it take vague-er instructions and work with it?
>>
>>110218004
nah. you do need to be more explicit. and you need to be comfortable with iterating. a frontier model might one shot it. banish the thought, with cheaper models, you will be iterating.
>>
>>110217991
yes anon, the model can. (You) simply cannot do it because obviously every scumbag will try to create malware. i mean its already happening thanks to chinese models, but if the public had access to claude mythos, it'd be on a much more insane scale.
>>
>>110218014
I genuinely don't know if it even matters. You can create a lot of dangerous stuff with very little knowledge, or with knowledge from very basic books.
And then noone will create a deadly virus or whatever just because they have access to Mythos, you still need the equipment.
>>

Your headcanon isn't relevant, Manthrobing is overly cautious and it has real consequences.

I didn't originally read the rest of your post but you were right, in a way they've already regressed by making the best model be more limited than the runner ups. I'll still use it for designing new stuff though, it's great, I just don't think I can rely on it for everything. But that's fine, splitting your work between two complementary $20 subs makes sense.

The only purpose of the post is discussing future model capabilities such as Fable 5.5, yet you keep insisting on bringing up things that Anthropic won't allow the model to do, such as cyber security/biochemistry work/etc. That has nothing to do with what I'm taking about. That's not a lack of understanding from the model. The knowledge is there. This is about what can smarter models do in comparison.

native is a shitshow
it's decent on mac cause the toolkit you get is neat, but what even is native for linux and winblows? a c++ app? which one of the five ui frameworks windows uses is native? is a rust port 'native', when its commonly used gui adds breaking changes every few months (and the gui library is pretty shit int he first place)?

native is for when you have a webapp and want a proper android / ios app. "lole just make it native dummy" isn't always a good idea

U know sniffies is quiet place ive started this thing where I bait men on there to send there face pics. From there I rub facial recognition and there's people working as staff for major senators, university professors, tech executives, lawyers and attorneys and someone with millions of followers. And these are like 25-46 yr old white men with attracted physiques who host cum dumps. They're not looking for love , relationships but to be public toilet for anyone to use.

Why? I was expecting criminals and vagrants but lot of them are quite successful but act like this. Ive been running automated bots across major US cities with Chinese uncensored LLM then I'll have their faces go through recognition software and once I get their name I use sites that then proceed to tell me phone number , emails and so on which I can then use to find their social media accounts and any other apps connec To them. I've indexed thousands upon thousands of people so far and it's at 30+ gbs now.

Idk what to do with it all I have rich men who have admitted to scat porn and sent me videos of them eating poop working at Fortune 500 companies.

The harness doesn't matter anymore. The things people built into the harnesses were like training wheels for the models. They helped them reach the goal without falling over. I've got a few ideas, like selling a service to lawyers to make it easier for clients in ie traffic court to submit their ticket quickly.
The actual automatable parts are easy, getting people to engage with your ads are harder.
There's already apps that connect you with lawyers, but they take a fee for doing this, so if you could find a way to be better than that, you'd attract a lot of people.

>Friend tells her how to torrent it.

>Mfw I realize I'm gonna have to babysit her in how to set one up
>I'll have to make sure it's bound to her torrent client going forward so her IP doesn't leak on any torrent swarms going forward

Why does the thought of guiding her through this irritate me a little? This stuff is common sense to me but I guess I have to be reminded not everyone cares enough to learn this stuff like I do. Would a basic AI like Gemini or ChatGPT be able to coach her through the process or would it be better that I babysit her throughout the setup process? I want to help her but I hate that I feel irritated about this. Am I just being a bad boyfriend?

basically tell your model to add phase gates and audit steps before every milestone on a project with a final forensic audit before closure is confirmed. you'll want to use fresh instances like new subagents or chats for audits, don't use the worker model that wrote the code to check its own work. ideally you should mix different types of models, ie shifting between gemini and claude to use their strengths and check each other's weaknesses for best results (this is backed by research).

Compacting is such a stale concept. The cache should just tail drop at 400k or whatever and your model should just intelligently parse the JSON transcript with a cheap model like Haiku when it needs something older.

ANTIGRAVITY PRO USAGE REPORT
Date: 2026-11-01
Plan: Google AI Pro ($20/mo, g1-pro-tier), user-confirmed
Model: Gemini 4 Argon, enum 1417, backend string gemini-4-argon-e
Source: 4 local conversation DBs, gen_metadata only (no prompts/code read)
User report: 2 sessions used 64% of weekly quota

1. EXACT TOKEN COUNT
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
conversation gens uncached in cache reads output total
1 28 265,395 2,296,626 36,916 2,598,937
2 60 544,569 7,008,431 65,370 7,618,370
3 34 232,062 4,487,715 82,759 4,802,536
4 66 650,786 8,260,582 114,357 9,025,725
TOTAL 188 1,692,812 22,053,354 299,402 24,045,568

Output includes 171,632 thinking tokens.
Cache reads = 91.7% of all tokens, 92.9% of prompt tokens.
Blended usage = 24,045,568 tokens.

2. MAIN CALC - CURRENT API PRICES AS OF 2026-11-01
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gemini 4 Argon intro rates, valid through 2026-11-30:
input $2.00/M, output $10.00/M, cache read $0.10/M

component tokens rate cost
uncached in 1,692,812 $2.00/M $3.3856
cache reads 22,053,354 $0.10/M $2.2053
output 299,402 $10.00/M $2.9940
TOTAL 24,045,568 $8.5850 -> $8.58

Blended API-equivalent price: $0.357 per 1M tokens.

Secondary price, from 2026-12-01 ($4/$20/$0.20):
same tokens = $17.17.

3. QUOTA MATH FOR PRO
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
64% of weekly = 24,045,568 tokens
Full week at same mix = 24,045,568 / 0.64 = 37,571,200 tokens

If Pro meters Argon at its listed API price:
64% = $8.58, implied full weekly bucket = $13.41

They'll likely walk a lot of it back or at the very least loosen it because real developers are complaining it's too restrictive even while working on their own software/games. That or they'll start handing out licenses to get around this issue for specific companies.

MAKE. A. NEW. GAME.

Even though I'm poor, I can afford any game ever made. And, people in 3rd world countries can pirate legally, or at least with zero risk of prosecution. Yes, emulation is neat-o. But it's getting in the way of gaming.

no, their benchmarks are bad, mostly because it shows OpenAI models being several times cheaper than they are in reality. Sol on max being only twice as expensive than deepseek is ridiculously false.
