Trying to design a CCG/TCG. Can you give me some ideas/pics for inspiration for the card layout and icons. Or features to add.

I want a timeless and not fixed style that is easy to aesthetically update and with lots of room to experiment and try new ideas.

For resources I am thinking of using gem stones, maybe precious metals, shapes, or maybe more original markers for something no idea what for yet. I want the system to be beginner friendly and easy to start playing on the go but with many abilities and special abilities for more complex duels. Thinking of copying features from many distint TCGs.

What should I add that other TCGs often miss. Give any ideas.

seems more /ic/ than gd related, also the only way to get some positive responses on here is if you post some work in progress and ask for opinions and specific advice rather than general easy to google questions, some links

I mean for layout think where people's eyes are drawn to immediately which can be influenced by art but also how people tend to read.

I think there would be a lot to gain from thinking about why say a magic card is laid out the way it is. Then perhaps extrapolating some general principles out of that.

Think about the most important pieces of an info for a card (cost and main effect usually) and have those be easy to find, bold or just where peoples' eye first fall to. Another thing magic does (which it's pushing the boundaries a lot on now) is centering the art rather than the frame. So having minimal but still flavorful frame elements would be a good idea too.
