i have been able to get some mind-control-esque scenarios with glowing eyes.

New installs can help for new models. If you're using stability matrix, it's pretty easy to just add a new install by adding another comfyui package.

I'd also just try other workflows. Check civitai. Sometimes I'll just pass on a workflow and try something else if there are dependency issues I can't resolve. Smoothmix 2.0 is pretty good.
