Also did some comparisons with the newly released models. Had them each do three runs and picked the one I liked the best subjectively. Same Prompt as my previous comparison. First up are the Smoothmixes.

I feel like the new one is even more unhinged, and seemingly not in a good way. Though I believe it could work a lot better with a more fitting prompt. Had to exaggerare the motion in order to get some more movement out of DaSiWa in the comparison.

I think the new model is a lot better with movement, but also a bit less stable as displayed by it spawning an additional tentacle. This might also be a case of the prompt not being very suitable for the model, as Smoothmix pretty much forced to explicitly prompt against the additonal tentacles it really wanted to spawn, so much so, that I had to mention it in the positive prompt. That probably gave DaSiWa the inspiration to spawn it in the first place. Will probably also work a lot better with a prompt more suitable for the model. Might do more testing with prompts better catered to the models.

I removed the explicit camera movement, and catered the prompts more towards what I assumed they are good at. Toned down the overly aggressive language for Smoothmix and removed the mention of secondary tentacles (or as brilliant prompt engineer Grok put it: "unauthorized tentacles") for DaSiWa. They are much closer together, I think. In this case, I honestly prefer Smoothmix, because it manages to really sell a big tentacle being forced into a vagina.

I hope LTX really puts some pressure to get Wan 2.5 model weights released. It sounds like we'll be getting a lot of updates to LTX. I tried messing with it a bit, and while it was amusing, it felt like using old grok imagine, but without being especially good at 2d or having any training on nudity/sex. But with the added downside of preventing me from genning anything else while it runs. Wan 2.2 is still significantly better in terms of video quality, though that might shift as it gets more loras. Making 10-20 second videos in one shot would be a big get if I didn't have to drop quality for it.

Here's some more testing. I decided to grab the latest DaSiWa since I had the buzz and was curious. Interestingly, increasing the CFG seems to help with smoothmix v2. For the last section here, I halved the lightx2v lora's strength to 1.5 and upped the CFG to 2 on the high sampler and left the low sampler the same. Otherwise, same settings everywhere. Shift of 8, 3 steps per sampler, .3 strength M4crom4sti4 and Smoothmix XXX Animations. I think v2 prefers higher lora strengths, but I didn't want to add more variables.

It's also worth keeping in mind that this all probably isn't the best testcase for Smoothmix V2. One of the bigger issues it set out to solve was an excess of bouncy sex motions when it wasn't appropriate. So it may just be that v1 is better for straight-up sex and that's all there is to it.

No, smoothmix is good at pretty much anything, especially v1. It will tend to morph faces to look a bit more like the smoothmix image generation checkpoints, but not to a crazy degree. For example, this gen was done with smoothmix v1.

I recommend just diving into youtube and looking for Wan 2.2 tutorials until you find something that clicks with your own brain. The longer you fuck with it, the more stuff will start to make sense. You just have to focus on the little victories.

If you've got 16gb of vram, you can run 13gb checkpoints. Switching to a GGUF from that won't do anything but make the results worse and maybe a tiny bit faster. But for the most part, VRAM is like the number of seats in a bus, while cuda cores are the engine. If you have enough room in your car for the whole model, taking less model isn't going to get you there significantly faster. It only gets notably slower if you can't bring the whole thing in one trip.

Try using the smooth workflow with the Q8 GGUF for Smoothmix i2v v1. The full one won't quite fit in 16gb.

Admittedly, you just kind of have to live with getting a lot of dud generations, but some of them should be turning out good.

i've been doing a lot of text2image and inpainting before so having to really dig for the diamond in the rough is already pretty familiar.
i think the thing with the VRAM concern is more that if i want high resolution and high number of generated frames, that's also going to come with a VRAM cost in addition to the model, which is why I was thinking of using a lighter-weight model. to put it another way, lower resolution/frames with a big model vs. higher with a smaller model.
come to think of it, it makes me realise that i don't really know exactly what's happening with memory and how the offloading works, nor how much impact the resolution/frames actually has on it. all i am certain of is that gen time scales mostly linearly with height*weight*frames.

i'll give your suggestion a try. my images are all photorealistic and have finer detail i'd really like to keep as much of as possible, which is why I avoided smoothmix originally, but the gen you posted earlier looks good enough that i'll reconsider.

I'm not certain, but I don't think that all goes in VRAM. I think it's really only the model and LoRAs that get loaded into VRAM. If you're running out of memory, I think that's you running out of regular system RAM. I could be wrong, though.

If you downloaded the workflow and are using that I would just make a note of what loras are being used.. then use the default 2.2 i2v template in comfy and replace the default 2.2 model with the smoothmix model then add in the loras. Many custom workflows have a lot of tweaks and stuff that only advanced users and the original poster are familiar with so if you are just starting it is easier to troubleshoot if you start with your own workflow as there is less settings to try and tweak

this is actually a slightly simplified version of my own workflow - originally it does WanImageToVideo for "stage 1" then the last frame of that gets fed into a FirstLast stage with the original image as the ending frame. i made it like this because i wanted looping video but base Wan 2.2 kept getting stuck with characters barely moving.
it worked pretty well all things considered, at this point i think i'm just annoyed at waiting several minutes for gens while feeling like i'm not making progress in solving the main issue i'm trying to solve

turns out smoothmix was the right call. only needed minor tweaks to the workflow and results are coming out much better than before, in less time. i ended up using a Q6 GGUF and running a higher resolution through it

The hardest part is putting a stopping point in the prompt as it usually does not know traditional legnth descriptions (1 foot, 2 feet, etc). I tried using body parts as reference but when I said "down to stomach" it only grew out to 5 inches..

when using the inflate do not use the trigger phrase "then infl4tr inflates it" just put tongue becomes longer or similar. For whatever reason using the trigger phrase nulls the lora and you get the "lora key not loaded" deal in comfy.. or at least I do. For the body growth i just put "tongue grows longer" or "tongue becomes gigantic" though a lot of the gens it didn't just make it longer but wider too so started looking a lot like Little Shop of Horror gens.
