I can answer this question: a mix of things. Dynamic like all things in life.
Our history is race theory - and it's normalized to say "tall, blonde, and blue eyed" as desirable features. We are essentially fetishizing and objectifying you, but with a cultural and racial aesthetic.
And as far as personal experience goes: most latino men are either too meek and insecure, outright sexist assholes, or a mix of both. ESPECIALLY Mexicans (your average Mexican man is insufferable and they have a bad rep even among other latin cultures).
Europeans and rural Americans tend to be better boyfriends, and fuck better since they're taller and *usually* more endowed down there. Basically, they just got a better grasp of what their partners desire. They're even excited about learning other cultures - the average latino is closeminded as fuck and hateful.

Lots of latin women view white men as "movie stars" because that's what they see in the movies. We are also a lot more subtle in our romantic gestures, latin men catcall and say disgusting things in the street, so American men are a breath of fresh air. My wife is Venezuelan, she says that since she was 13, she heard men on the street say things like "I want to play your body like a guitar," or "I want to suck you like a mango seed." When her friend visited from Venezuela, she was immediately crushing on my dad, twice her age! She said he looked like a movie star, but he was just a typical older white guy.

My gf is a latina, two of my friends also have latina gfs so I'm hanging around a lot with latinos. Beyond the obvious (taller, pale skin, light eyes, etc), latinos are either players or complete simps, there's no in-between and most of them are immature with daddy/mommy issues, completely neurotic.
