(jumping spiders have personalities and it's insane to think, i assure you i'm not a hippie) anyways, the new cat may numb the loss, but she will never be the same and you should not expect it to be. that does not mean she is lesser, just different. and given that she is your responsibility regardless of whether or not you wanted her, you have her now. you'll just have to find the specifics of her developing preferences, sometimes they grow into what you show them and other times they do not. as you likely know, there are very few things you can force a cat to do. i wish you the best of luck friendo. i believe in you
