I'm more of a text-based gooner and I've noticed something that could potentially help.
Grok remembers if you try to go back and edit things. For example if I give a text prompt and it gives me a "I cannot do that because it's inappropriate" or whatever and then I try to edit the prompt to get past, Grok will still see that it previously said "I cannot do that" and it will essentially "poison" the entire thread. You have to fully delete the prompt and try again. May be a similar thing in image/video generation, not sure.
But basically consider it to be a stacking debuff. The more times you allow Grok to say "no I can't do that" the more it's likely to say it again. After a certain point even pretty mundane things can get filtered. It's because Grok is looking at the ENTIRE history, including edits, and noticing where it said it can't do a certain thing. After a certain point it just gets stuck in a loop because it's predicting the next thing it should say given the past conversation is "I can't do that". It's basically gaslighting itself.
I hope that makes sense.
