the problem is that for each AI thread (general?) you get regulars posting and Grok was being posted in say the celeb threads or the /vdg/ thread in it's earlier incantations and let's face it Grok was trash very early on. So it stuck and Grok was easily seen by it's style. So really Grok having it's own thread is sensible. The local models can't do what Grok does but also Grok can't do what the local models can achieve. It is telling that AI video gens struggle outside porn because the AI threads (or threads) on /wsg/ struggle - not that the board is fast anyway. But it has slowed down fast since Sora 2 was first posted there and pretty much started the AI thread there. Look at the AI music thread on /wsg/, pretty slow but it survives. The celeb thread on /gif/ isn't always around, it isn't just for local models unlike /vdg/ which also don't want celebs posted in their general.
