just putting this out there, saucenao has not been capturing data from Pixiv since November 2023, all contents published after that date is not reverse searchable. Some contents may still have results from gelbooru or other boorus though, not too sure about Nijie.
yeah pixiv put in anti-scraping protection at that time
>>8685473Good. Pixiv is a menhera shithole.
>>8685473between this and the 2022 danbooru disaster anime art archival has experienced nothing but misfortune
>>8692161both have the same cause, asshole AI companies who think they can rape any server they pleasethere is nothing you love that AI won't destroy soon
>>8692288Sounds like this entire board
I don't know what they do differently but ascii2d seems to still work for recent pixiv uploads
>>8692161what happened in 2022?
>>8696488artists found out that AI had been trained on the danbooru database, and bombarded it with takedown notices, late enough to not make a difference for AI so just hurting the community instead
>>8696572oh...
>>8696572and probably themselves too, but those were some angry times indeed
>>8696488>>8696572>>8697092>>8697125the dmca takedowns is just scratching the surface, it's that users below approver are no longer able to see banned (dmca'd) posts, that banned posts no longer have an indicator on the catalog, that banned posts no longer shows up on saucenao, that banned artists no longer gets reposted by gelbooru's bot, and that approver promotions are picked at random once in a blue moon. if your rank is below approver you can't see your own post if it gets banned. oh and regarding banned artists, a few months ago they deprecated the banned artist tag which meant posts would no longer be automatically banned upon posting, which meant it would get reposted by gelbooru's bot, but then they decided to manually ban those banned artists, and eventually decided to reverse the decision so that posts from banned artists are back to automatically getting banned except without the banned artist tag. so the whole ordeal was pointless and they just did it to rub it in our faces.
>>8698353yeah, but they brought the whole ball of dung rolling, and all the other shit is just legal consequences of complying with the DMACs
Does anyone know where this is from?
>>8685473yeah pixiv put in anti-scraping protection at that time
>>8704668Pixiv is gonna get busted by credit cards soon
>>8707074Why? Pixiv is more of a japan thing and most of their subs are from Japan
>>8707074they already tightened their terms and you can get away with less than a few years ago, also fanbox is often more censored than the free site... which really sucks when you support an artist and get worse art than what's free
