Was wondering what the most significant difference between Ainz and its remake actually is (aside from moans and mid-round intermissions of course), then realized round 3 (Toshi Densetsu) is almost a full minute shorter because it skips a lot of the parts with the loli.I don't have a strong opinion on this, so the main thing I'm sad about is the remake has no "hard mode" like the original. It might be somewhat easier to make because the beatbar is a subtitle, but adding beat sounds into the audio might be an issue.

Okay, this week will be the final stretch for Fapland GD 2.0. I've solved most of the underlying problems that I wanted too and now I can just work on putting everything together.First big problem was adding custom rounds. Beforehand, you would have to set the difficulty of video manually when you added them to the game(easy, normal, hard, expert). This worked fine, but it was a unclear which videos would go to each difficulty and I wouldn't want to leave that up to users.In order to alleviate this, I removed to difficulty selection and added an algorithm for the game to use the length of video to detect a difficulty automatically. You can place these videos into a specific folder or just drag and drop your videos into the game from your file explorer. These values can be edited, but by default the system works as follows:Under 3 minutes = Easy3 - 5 minutes = Normal5 - 7 minutes = HardOver 7 minutes = ExpertThese difficulties will be used to select rounds in the Roguelike mode as well. As you go up the stages, the game with pull randomly from the pool of videos, with the videos getting longer as you go further up.

It is still important for a beatbar to match up well with the song and not be just any old beat.As for beatbar design, I like it center of the bottom the screen coming from both the left and the right the best. It should not take up too much of the screen, or be too flashy, but a hit indicator flash is good for your peripheral vision. A beat sound added is also good as long is it is not too loud or drowned out by the music. This can be hard if the song has a shift in volume mid-song.
