I really want to TL this and all the other untranslated works by the artist, however I find that scanlating is a huge pain in the ass to do, I hate fiddling with text sizes and fonts and trying to rewrite a sentence so it can better fit inside a speech bubble, it's actually so fucking annoying and mentally draining.

That either she is literally asking for him to hold her as genuine comfort, or for her husband to fuck her harder ("properly") than he usually does so that she can finally get over a traumatic experience from earlier in the story (which is what "that day" is referring to in C)Any help would be very appreciated, and thank you in advance!

It depends on the page and its pretty much slave labour to get it right, its why people hire editors to begin with.I was offering you the entire thing translated and edited for 50 cents per page which, please other translators/editors chip in here, is the minimum going rate but I might be outdated on the price.If you never touched an editing software 15 min per page seems just fine, the job is annoying as it is there is no workaround about it

Usually I do U (fuzzy select), click on white (while hold button and move up/down to adjust fill level), then select->remove holes, and now shift-B (bucket fill) the selection (usually on a new transparent layer). The ability to adjust fill level and see what gets caught in it is very helpful. And you can adjust the selection before filling if it leaked.

There’s this artist whose doujins are no longer being translated despite his works being popular before. So I decided to do it myself, and I’m starting from the slums:First I went letter by letter (hiragana, katakana, kanjis) by reading the raw pages and using the wikipedia articles to get the katakana / hiragana symbols. For Kanji, I used a website where you can draw the symbols and they’ll provide you accurate options for what you drew. Very slow process but at least I get to learn a little.Then I posted the texts to Google TL and it was decent at giving an understandable translation. Albeit, it doesn’t understand deeper context, so some phrases aren’t properly translated at all. Overall usable for getting a bit of context / understanding what’s going on but doesn’t meet consumer standards.Then I found out that AI tools like ChatGPT and Gemini are 10 times better than Google TL since you can provide context and the results are better worded and understand deeper context. The results are honestly better than many properly translated works lol.Which made me wonder. Why is it that when I browse the panda I still see MTL slop (poorly translated, automatically scanlated) every now and then? Is it laziness for scanlating? Shitposting? Mentality of wanting to be first in releasing something? Admittedly, I remember seeing those a year or so ago, so my theory is tools weren’t as advanced then.
