I've looked into automation a lot, and most options are lacking. Piston style devices like the handy are, in my opinion, not that good if you're a death gripping retard. The problems are twofold. First, low speed, or uninteresting content. If you start going soft in a piston device, you're going to fall out. How bad this is depends on your personal threshold, personally I hate getting lube on my hands so when this kind of shit happens I just give up and use the onahole manually. This is the number one issue, if you always use lube to jerk off maybe this isn't so bad, but I like to keep my hands clean while I'm jerking it.

The second issue is too high of a speed. This is primarily a content issue, most funscripts are absurdly paced and I say this as someone with a lot of jerk off experience. The speed isn't the issue, I can maintain those speeds (and far higher with my hand) no problem. The problem is lube reapplication, and numbness. Most script makers seem happy to throw 10 minute max speed segments into a video with occasional 2 second breaks, will probably just numb your dick, and if it doesn't, the lube is going to start getting sticky and shit is going to chafe, which will require you to pause your shit and add some water or something. With hands free setups, this becomes more of a chore, and if you go soft because you're not fast enough, well, you're back to the first issue.

These days I use a vacuum machine instead, which fixes the first issue (even if you're soft it keeps sucking) but not the second (I tend to just set my own pace instead).

I was waiting for the old thread to die, but it refused.

A hard drive in my RAID DAS stopped working and I lost a bunch of work. Most of it was cloud backed up, so I just had to recover it and work from there. Most of the holdup was getting a new drive and setting up the DAS, but that's all fixed up now.

The issue with video size has been mostly alleviated for most videos. The issue was that the audio is processed from the video and stuffed into a packed byte array. The only thing you need to know is that these arrays have particular size limits and shouldn't exceed 2gbs. This hasn't been completely fixed, but its been worked on to a point where you can play most videos that are below 3 hours.

The work I've been doing now is a lot of edits to make sure this can be properly updated and worked in the future as well as work with many different setups. I want this to be as "dumb proof" as possible.

I do really want to get autostrokers working and it should be very doable. However unlike last time where I piggy backed off of another software to make it work, I'll have to do it myself this time, so it will take a few versions. It's high on my list though.

2gb is the audio data limit, not the video limit. So really the limit is the length, not the size of the video file. The audio is generally 1 - 10% of the files size. So the audio data of your 25gb is at most probably 3gb. However, this gets kind of wonky when its put into the game, so just keep the videos under 3 hours for now. I haven't really stress tested the system quite yet.

if that's the case, have you tried streaming the audio to the buffer instead of preloading it at once?

send chunks of data to the buffer while the video progresses and delete old data after it's played

this way the buffer will only hold a couple of seconds of audio at a time (it'll never breach the 2gb cap)

Yes, that's the basic premise. I realized how it worked and modified the code for this game, but most of it is from GDE Gozen. This is likely because GDE Gozen is a video editing software, so it needs to load a lot more than a simple player. It's one of the Devs priorities so I think it will be fixed.

Right now, it's really not a big issue for like 95% of videos. Especially since most rounds don't exceed 10 minutes.But if it really becomes a huge issue, I'll put in the work to split the audio into chunks at runtime.

yeah 3 hours is insanely long for a video, and personally i usually just use smaller videos anyways since i think having really long videos in there kinda defeats the purpose of making a sort of FH megamix of a bunch of smaller rounds, with the random dice roll giving some nice variety so its not the same each time. thanks for the update, its nice to hear more about it! that stuff about the audio and packed byte arrays goes over my head, i still want to try getting into coding someday but stuff like that really kinda makes it sound pretty daunting/confusing to get into. oh wait array is a Godot thing right? i tried learning some godot, seemed a heck of a lot more confusing to me then gamemaker studio 2 though.

The breaks are crazy. There are over two minutes between rounds 1 and 2 and there are two and a half minutes between rounds 2 and 3. Even as far as round 4, you get a 90 second break before round 5. This trend continues throughout the entire game. You get just shy of three minutes of rest before the final round.

IIRC the install instructions aren't quite correct as they assume that the mpv installer will do things that it specifically says it does not do.

The short of it is that you need to create an environment variable for your mpv.exe so when you call it in the original bat file it works.

As another anon mentioned you can also just modify the bat file but considering the entire thing is meant to be simple and command line based I would just create the environment variable, assuming you are on windows.

I find the best songs are techno-ish or dancecore with very few lyrics. Lots of songs from Marcurial 2 or Kingdom Come are excellent examples for this, like Aran Graces of Heaven, Sanaas Polestar, DJ Genki Avalon System, Kamome Sano Lollipop and USAO Try Again.
This is just my opinion of course. I really just vastly prefer when I can have a great song in FH rounds that isn't just the same shit used again and again. And it's always great to find new music artists from fap heroes too.

One year we had someone remaster Bastati's Fap Hero Ainz and because they put the beatbar on a subtitle track, the next two whole threads became tech support on how to download mpv and get the damn subtitles to work. Surprise, most people need it working out of the box because they aren't technomages. You just need to look up Davinci Resolve tutorials for how to add text overlays. Windows Movie Maker is garbage and Powerpoint won't be an ideal tool for this. (I mean you could, and then take a screenshot of your powerpoint slide and overlay it in your video editing program, but I'm pretty sure Davinci has a way to just put the text over your image anyway instead of you needing to resort to another program like Powerpoint.). It's a learning process anon, there isn't a quick way to do it for you. You need to learn it. The FH tutorials are a good start, but sometimes you need to Google basic video editing tutorials for the program you are using to learn stuff.

In there other was pretty obvious that you "didn't" merge them to the video because the audio track of the video was much more lower than the beat soundtrack of the beatbar..
