What is the explanation for this?
>>17960507Atheists have never had anything bad happen to them. Most people who are atheistic realize their error and convert in prison pretty quickly.
>>17960507This myth was debunked over a decade ago. Prisons are teeming with "low church" atheists who wouldn't identify as such, much less as a humanist, on a survey. Enjoy Hell.
nobody in prison is religious unless they're trying to fake it to get a parole or avoid execution
>>17960530>No True Scotsman Fallacy By your standard, nobody is a real Christian
Atheists are above the law
>>17960507Nigger spam kys not fitness relatedBut to answer for anyone who actually cares: it's because they get to leave their cell more if they claim they're religious. Going to services/church meetings its a welcomed break to the monotony of prison life.
>>17960507>What is the explanation for this?Mexicans are all Catholic and blacks sing in church
>>17960507Simple. Criminals tend to have low IQs. Low IQ = higher religiosity. Thought this was common sense. No smart person thinks a bronze age sky fairy is real. Only dumb people think this lol. It is literally impossible to be intelligent and believe God exists. Science has completely disproven the existence of God.
>>17960569sorry thought I was still on /fit/. Apologies to all you enlightened and scholarly retards who cant grasp why prisoners like leaving their cells to go to church services.
>>17960507Women dig sociopathic Bible-thumpers btw
>>17960745No wonder my buddy got a new girlfriend now
>>17960544I am, cant say the same for everyone else though
>>17960544Most people who identify strongly with being Christian dont end up in jail. You cant internalize Jesus's commandments otherwise.
Even criminals have morals.
religion is the largest cope for a bricked hand in life, and for horrible people to justify their past, current, and future shitty actions
>>17960855>horrible peopleBy what standard?
>>17960934the kind that often puts one in prison, in its absence
>>17960507Atheists don't believe in the afterlife or in reincarnation or anything else after death. As a result they try their best to stay out of prison.
>>17960507People who identify as atheists make up a small part of the general population and people in prison will often convert while there, either sincerely or because they think it makes them look better.
>>17960507It is a straight up lie, the correct comparison between Christians and atheists is not between all Christians and self-identified High Church Atheists, but rather between all Christians and all No Religion atheists, less agnostics. given the correct definition of an atheist as “one who believes that God does not exist” rather than “one who calls himself an atheist”. And while one could argue that “no religion” is not perfectly synonymous with “belief that God does not exist”, it is safe to assume that most, though not all, no religion individuals are practical atheists even if they are not inclined to call themselves atheists. The reason this matters is that is the Low Church atheists of the No Religion variety who make up 33.1% of the prison population, more than twice the 15% of the general population. (The 15.1% number is from 2001 and will likely be around 20% in the 2011 census; I will update the numbers accordingly when they become available.) The statistical overrepresentation of no religion atheists in prison is surpassed only by Buddhists (0.3% general, 2.2% prison) and Muslims (2.8% general, 11.9% prison). So, keep this in mind the next time that an atheist attempts to claim that atheists are more moral or less criminal than Christians. All they are doing is cherry-picking the most intelligent subset of the atheist population and comparing it with the entire intelligence spectrum of the Christian population. Since low IQ tends to correspond highly with criminal behavior and imprisonment, it should come as no surprise that self-styled Atheists are less likely to be found in prison than no religion atheists.
>>17961389There is no Epstein list and never has been so what is the point of your picture?
I heard from a relative who is a church workers that a lot of criminals with drug/alcohol issues get better with help of religion in jail, but a lot of them also relapse into addiction and crime once they get out and leave that environment.
>>17960544>people who select "no religion" don't count as atheists because...they just don't...understandthe only one using the no true scotsman fallacy is you.
>>17960507Atheists are more intelligent and the low IQ commit more crime. Low IQ degenerate shitbirds are always into that magic jew shit. We need eugenics not only to improve the genetic health of our race but to hasten the extinction of religion.
>>17960507Seems like 'only God can judge me' doesn't really work out as a legal strategy as long one is alive.
>>17960507per capita.
>>17961389holy mental gymnastix lmao
>>17960745Their reproductive strategy of the ultra-rich and the ultra-criminal perfectly match.Curious.
>>17960507the same mentality you find in video games, retards simply shove fault to someone else until they break, aka get sent to prisonliddaly a skill issue
>>17961592*competetive vidya
>>17961555>people who mark themselves as having no religion should count as atheists>WHAT! MENTAL GYMNASTICS LMAO!!!!1!!I don't understand why this is so hard for you.
>>17961389>>17961727So I do actually agree with a lot of what you are saying here, especially this>And while one could argue that “no religion” is not perfectly synonymous with “belief that God does not exist”, it is safe to assume that most, though not all, no religion individuals are practical atheists even if they are not inclined to call themselves atheists. However, I also think the majority of agnostics, as well as a lot of nonobservant religious or "spiritual" people are also, as you say, "practical atheists". Jews in particular are an interesting group to look at, as they are generally less superstitious or inclined to believe supernatural phenomena than people who identify as agnostic. Japan is another interesting example, it has one of the largest non-religious populations on the planet, but when you look closer this comes from the fact Japanese people see "being religious" differently than people in the west do. Japanese people regularly engage in what we would most likely call religious rituals, but to them, being religious means "going to church", and since most of them don't do that, most of them identify as non-religious.Which brings me to my main disagreement, which is that I think there is in fact a difference between "practical atheists" and people who actively identify as atheists, beyond the latter simply being more learned. The latter, for the most part, are actively rejecting religion and superstition. Also, I am curious about that "no religion make up 33%" figure. I was able to find 35.7% of inmates having no religious label, but that is different from "no religion", and could just as easily include people who didn't answer.
>>17960569This is the answer 100%That and predator Muslims looking for converts, some places they get special commissary lists too no one else gets like honey.Plus different meals for some religions
>>17960507Atheism makes you good at getting away with crimes.
east asians have extremely low crime rates and are virtually all atheists
>>17960544Now you're getting it, nice dubs
>>17963507So why does china have such a large prison population ?
>>17963507Hate to play devils advocate here but 'Not Religious' =/= 'Atheist' which is what confuses a lot of these statistics. Most people in East Asia do have some vague spiritual and metaphysical framework that's usually manifested in things like ancestor worship or things like Shinto. They simply don't have a set of Canon scriptures and Dogmas and don't attend any sort of formal, communal churches or temples regularly, hence they're not religious, but that's not the same thing as atheist.
